Chapter 33

Dawn was quick to arrive over the foreign territory, the sunlight and the birds not being what woke Silver and Mephiles, though.

It was the excited laughter and running of little feet as three anxious pups startled their parents awake after bursting in their room to wake them.

They were up and ready to go and they weren't even dressed yet.

Mephiles sat up as the pups pestered their mother, not having yet realized their father was in the room, which was fine. They didn't need to know about what was happening between their parents.

Silver laughed and tried to calm them down, even though he was still sleepy.

Mephiles then stood and approached, his children only then noticing him and even more happy to see him too.

Mephiles tentively stroked their still baby soft quills in greeting. He was excited to see his children explore the city and learn a different culture today.

"Let's get you three cleaned up, shall we?" their mother smiled, holding a squirming and giggling Jigoku while Mephiles tried to catch a hyper and giggling Crystal that just wouldn't stand still.

Little Rei just curiously looked at his siblings from where he sat on the bed, a thumb in his mouth.

When Mephiles caught his daughter, he kept her squirming form against his chest as he tickled her. He just felt so at ease with everything just by hearing her laugh. He then went to pick up Rei as well, and followed after their mother.

With the help of a few of their own servants, a large basin was soon filled with heated water, just the right temperature for its young occupants.

Silver and Mephiles undressed their pups before managing to get all three in the bath--managing to keep them in there was an entirely different matter.

They ended up as wet as their pups by the end of it. Mephiles eventually ended up having to gently scold the three for getting the floor all wet from splashing so much, which meant extra work for the servants who would come clean the rooms later while they were out. The pups were remorseful halfway through his rant so he soon stopped. But when they were dried off he gave them all a hug to show that he wasn't angry anymore.

Silver watched and smiled when his babies went and grabbed a towel and attempted to dry off their father after they'd gotten him wet, though they were only able to reach just above his thigh.

The uke couldn't help but find it adorable that Mephiles accepted their 'help'.

Mephiles couldn't help but smile either, drying their quills while they dried his legs off for him. He'd let their mother brush them before they had to be dressed.

And once they were all dry, they began to pick out their robes for the day with their dad helping while their mother went to freshen up as well.

Soon they were all ready, and again, Silver looked as regal and beautiful as always. They were all excited to go, but the demon had yet to realize just how cherubs felt towards pure-blooded demons like himself.

The family deciding to go out and have breakfast at a nice eatery, took to wandering the town with their guards/escorts not too far away, but far enough to give their lords their privacy.
