Mephiles scooped up his little girl as his entourage began to arrive into the outskirts of the city, letting her get a better view from his lap. This was their first time leaving their home and he wanted them to get as much from it as they could.

"Wow!!", "It's so pretty!!", "Daddy, look!!" came the endless sounds of joy from the little ones, Silver joining in on their amazement at all the sights as they made their way further into town.

It was truly something they would never forget anytime soon and it made Mephiles proud to be able to give them that.

Both parents made sure that their young ones didn't stick their heads out too far of the window as other carts were passing by and they didn't need their quills tangled in fishing nets or their clothes hooking onto something and dragging them out of the carriage. Well...that was worse case scenario from their mother's point of view. But what their father assumed would happen is they'd possibly hit their heads on something.

And onlookers curiously watched from the surrounding streets as the large caravan of people and carriages entered their city.

Judging from all the soldiers and the style of the coaches, whoever was inside must be very important, most of the people thought.

It looked like the citizens hadn't seen this much wealth in a while as everyone stopped to stare, but as they got further into the city people started to care less, only moving out of the way in the busy streets so they could get by.

And much to the hanyou and pups' relief, the coach soon came to a stop outside a massive and extravagant inn where an attentive servant was quickly present to help them get out to stretch their legs.

He formally greeted them all and showed Mephiles and his company to their suite, as well as other workers helping Meph's servants get settled in who too had comfortable living quarters for their stay.

And though Tenshi was Silver's bodyguard, he was given a separate room across the hall from the young family, leaving Mephiles immensely pleased that he finally had his family all to himself now.

The young Lord calmly watched as all their luggage was brought into their suite while his mate and pups curiously explored their new living spaces.

Their children had a room to themselves and he had a room for just himself and his mate. He'd purchased an extra futon with the room so they wouldn't have to sleep in the same bed. He didn't want to push the hanyuo's comfort zone.

And once all their stuff had been brought in, he turned to see Silver resting in a nearby chair, the uke looking drained from the rather long trip.

Mephiles watched him for a moment, before getting a servant to bring the two of them something to drink. They'd take the day to settle before they went on to do anything else, he decided.

The fatigued uke turned to look at his mate and smiled, saying, "Thank your for all of this, Meph...this place is truly beautiful..."

"It's no problem, my dear. I'm just happy you get to see it," He sincerely replied.

"I can't wait to see the rest of the area," Silver added, smiling when his children all ran over to him, trying to get up into his lap. With his help, they managed and it wasn't long before Mephiles saw the little ones yawning.

The demon smiled, "Let's leave that for tomorrow. Then we'll have plenty of time to explore."

Silver nodded and tried to hide one of his own yawns, making Mephiles genuinely smile, only for the moment to be interrupted by a soft knock at their door.

One of their own servants had returned with their drinks, the demoness even bringing something along for the pups. And after thanking her lords on the behalf of the fellow servants for such wonderful rooming  accommodations, she dismissed herself with a bow and left the family to their evening.

The pups quietly indulged in their beverages alongside their parents, the kids still exhausted from the trip.

"You should all take a nap if you are to have any energy for supper," Mephiles murmured, watching his pups struggle to stay awake. He was feeling fatigued himself, so it wouldn't hurt to rest for awhile as well.

"I think that's a good idea," Silver sighed before standing, Mephiles helping with carrying the children to their room where the parents proceeded to put them to bed.
