A/N: There is absolutely no excuse for how long its taken me to update this story; I can only blame it on two jobs, laziness and SEVERE writer's block. Sorry for the extremely long wait and the somewhat short chapter (it's been nearly half a year OMG) but please, enjoy!!

It was later on during the week when progress was finally being made towards Silver's healing. While his herbal baths, massages, and other remedies did help with his muscles, arrangements had been quickly made over the past few days in order for a small entourage--consisting of Lord Suno, Silver, Mephiles, and a small number of expert healers and guards --to make the journey to the springs where Silver was to finally be cleansed of the poison that has plagued him and his familly for far too long.

To say that the young couple were both anxious and excited was an understatement.

And so, a few minutes before midnight, Silver and Mephiles gathered up their small travel bags for their day trip and quietly crept into their pups' room where they both laid gentle kisses upon their sleeping babies' foreheads. Well-trusted uke nannies had already been instructed the night prior to make sure the little ones would want for nothing while they were away. There was even a whole itinerary for the pups that should keep the little trio happily occupied while they were out.

And so, with a nod to the three babysitters who in turn bowed to their lords, the young parents left their chambers to rendezvous with the rest of their group.

They were quick to find Lord Suno at the palace stables, overseeing affairs as servants bustled around him with last minute details to their horses and anything the healers might additionally need for their journey. Lanterns that were strewn every couple of feet gave the outer courtyards a warm glow despite being in the dead of night. Only a low murmuring of those already gathered, the faint neighs of other horses, and hurried but quiet footsteps of several servants could be heard.

But Mephiles couldn't help but wonder just what was in each of the small wooden chests (only big enough to fit in the palm of their hands) that the six healers held close to their person. Suno seemed to have a wooden chest as well, a total of seven now, and absolutely no one else handled them as they were locked away in compartments on each of their individual saddles, the demon realised.

'Must be something important,' he wondered, both he and his mate bowing slightly to the Cherub King once they were noticed.

"Ah, good morning Silver, Mephiles," Suno smiled at them warmly with a nod of greeting, then asking said uke, "Are you nervous?"

Silver smiled before giving a shaky sigh, "Very nervous, yes. But also excited..."

Suno chuckled as he replied, "You should be, little brother; once we return here this evening, you'll not only be fully cured, but you'll have your wings back~"

SIlver's smile grew and he gave his mate's hand that he'd been holding a squeeze, making Mephiles smile from his eagerness and kiss him on the cheek.

Suno could only smile at the sight before saying, "Now before we set out, you must know that we will not be traveling by carriage, I'm afraid. The terrain where we're going isn't suitable for that means of transportation, so we'll be going on horseback."

At that, two of the noble steeds were guided over to the young couple, a total of 15 pitch black stallions with wavy manes and tails to match now saddled up and ready to go.

"They're beautiful," Silver whispered in awe at the massive beast before him, much bigger than the average horses, Mephiles instantly noticed. It was only when he looked up into their eyes did he understand, a smirk quickly forming on the demon lord's face. No wonder they looked so familiar!
