GISELLE'S POV:
"When was she last seen?" I asked as soon as Bonnie and Caroline got on the backseats.
"This morning before she disappeared. Stefan and Damon have gone looking for her too but-"
"They can't enter the Lockwood Mansion." Caroline shoved her phone in her pocket as she reconfirmed the issue again.
"How did you know that it was Nik's comrades and not someone else?" Rebekah asked in stress but the girls only exchanged glances without answering and that just annoyed her further.
"ANSWER THE BLOODY QUESTION, DAMN IT!" Rebekah yelled in irritation to which they finally responded.
"We don't know, Rebekah! Tyler stopped by and he tried to talk to me. Or distract me to be exact and... Elena was right inside the house but then we found her gone right after he left." Caroline blurted out in panic and she seemed just as frustrated as the rest of us were.
"Well then... Can't you locate her with your bloody spells or something, Bonnie?"
"I couldn't, Rebekah! I've already tried! Let me make this clear! I can't locate her whilst weak signal, okay? Somebody had cast a cloaking spell on her! Some other Witch!"
I exhaled a silent sigh as Bonnie's discovery just reconfirmed what I have been suspecting all along. Although I've already sensed the presence of strong opposing magic in the town from the very first day, I chose not to mention it without solid evidence. Now, that I have enough, all that's left was facing the enemy of the same kind. So, I began to drive without another word.
"Elle, where do you think you're going? You can't get involved with Dark Magic!" Rebekah warned but there was only one way to find out. I dialled Hayley's number and she picked up on the first ring.
"Hayley, I need your help..."
"Hello to you too, love."
My body froze as soon as I recognized the person on the other line and it was definitely not Hayley. The cockiness in his voice was overwhelming and that terribly intrigued my anger at that stern moment. Enraged by my concern for the girl, I yelled over the phone.
"What have you done to my girl, Niklaus?"
I stepped on to the gas harder and began driving at maximum speed. All along the ride, Rebekah kept warning me of the risks I was putting myself at but I couldn't bother any less. The girls at the back seat shrieked in terror at every sharp turn but were still sensible enough to not comment on my drifting skills until we reached the Hybrids HQ. Slamming the door in angst, I stomped straight towards the main entrance only to be smashed me square on the chest by an invisible barrier as I fell back at an instant.
Recognizing the Dark Magic Veil right away, I shut my eyes tight and gathered absolute concentration to my strength and in no time uncontrollable power began sizzling at the tip of my fingers. My whole body was eagerly in the offing of unleashing the sorcery of original witchcraft that was burning brighter within me.
Within a blink, the gigantic surge of energy was exerted from my body in a whip and was fired at the mansion like a cannonball, breaking through every last protection it held. Right away, my inner sense was able to locate the exact spot where the deep darkness was being unbridled in that mansion. I felt it radiating strongly from the ground.
"Underground vaults!" I yelled at the rest as Caroline nodded and immediately led Bonnie to the said location.
After assigning Rebekah to update Elijah about the urgency of the situation against her will obviously, I barged inside the mansion to find Niklaus seated conveniently on his throne-like armchair. Marching in with murderous rage, I summoned every last object in that room as they began attacking him around the clock. Taken aghast by my sudden assault, he attempted to get away with his hybrid speed.
