(25) Celebrity and Jealousy

What happened with Jenn and Xav in the past and what does Jenn have against Royalty?

Xavier was gone by the time I woke and I yawned and stretched. It had been the most trying week living with Jennifer. Xavier and I had gotten over the fight we had and had moved on counting that as a little misunderstanding. The make-up ended with popcorn, soda, a good movie, cuddling and apologies. Xavier pampered me a lot and I enjoyed it but I didn't get a swollen head. I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. I went downstairs lazily with a book to read in my hand. The kitchen was empty except for the maids washing the wares.

"Good morning Nobildonna." Cindy one of the maids greeted me

"Good morning." I sat down and stifled a yawn "I want toast and orange juice."

Cindy nodded and went to work immediately. Soon I was munching toast and drinking orange juice.

"Where are the others?' I asked handing Cindy my plate

"Maestro Xavier is at a meeting with the boys and his sister is at work." Cindy answered

"And Jennifer?"

"I think she's out."

I nodded and left.

Finally some peace and quiet.

I read for what seemed like a couple of hours before I fished out a pencil and an eraser and turned to the back of the paper. I started to sketch something not knowing what I was doing but soon a figure came into being and I just added finishing touches.

"Since when do I look like that?" a voice asked and I jumped violently

I lost balance and fell off the couch before I grabbed the paper. I turned around and saw Xavier and the boys standing behind me in suits with Neveah laughing at me.

"How long were you there?" I asked them putting the paper behind my back

"Since you started drawing." Geovanni answered "Didn't you hear us?"

"No." I replied "Geez you scared me."

"I didn't know you draw." Neveah sat down next to me and yanked the paper out my hand.

"Neve-" I started to protest but she had already unfolded it and was looking at the portrait I had drawn of Xavier.

"You've got every detail of him." Christiano pointed out "Even his dimples."

I went red.

"Geez, I was bored." I blushed

"You were reading my books too." Xavier picked up the top book from the pile I had read on the table "Werewolves, romance, fantasy....have you read all of these?"

I nodded. Xavier shook his head.

"Bookworm." he teased me

"Am not." I frowned at him folding my hands

"Yes you are spitfire." he leaned on the table and folded his arms too

"No I'm....spitfire?"

The others exploded laughing.

"After your blow with Jennifer." Jianan explained "Didn't you realized the more cutting you were the politer you said it?"

I shook my head.

"I just had a sharp tongue that lashed out unmercifully at anyone I didn't like." I replied "I've never seen my temper in that direction."

"Well you're a spitfire alright." Geovannni pulled my cheeks "Let's eat lunch. I'm hungry."
