Afternoon. Provence Airport

Parfait, Muffin and I accompany David in the airport.

I will miss this guy very much and I cannot stand if I choose to hide my true feeling for him...at least if I die (God forbid) I was able to express myself...

Muff: David, tell aunt and grandfather that I'm fine here
David: okay. Please take care all of you

then I suddenly hug him and I begin to cry. Muff and Par are surprise

Vanilla: please don't go!! I like you very much!!!
David: e!?

Muffin spanks my head and it hurts

David: please take care of yourself Vanilla. I want to see you in Worldwide Cosplay Convention in Seraphine soon

Yah right. That's the biggest event of all, I don't want to die! I have to attend and David might see me again. Then he pats my head and I begin to blush or I'm steaming!!

Muffin: SHE'S STEAMING!!!
Parfait: THE SIOPAO IS STEAMING!! THE SIOPAO IS STEAMING!!!
Vanilla: !?

who are you calling a siopao?? me!?

Vanilla: Ya Parfait!! how dare you calling me a siopao!?
Parfait: don't be conceited, do you look like one?
Vanilla: No!!
Parfait: David, do you want siopao? I can give it to you before you go inside the airport
David: no thank you, and it's time
Parfait: are you sure you don't want to bring this siopao face with you?? (points at Vanilla)

Grr!! I hate it when Parfait makes a joke about me!!...and we hear a sound

David: I guess I have to go
Vanilla: don't get involved in the princess-maid case, it's dangerous
Parfait,Muffin: take care David...bye! bye!

then David goes inside and we begin to walk. Muffin begins to shed tears and so am I

Muffin: let's go to Cafe Buffalo and eat siopao
Parfait: asado or bola-bola??
Muffin: WHAT!?
Parfait: sweet pork or minced meat??
Muffin: sweet pork!
Parfait: me too

then we see Cafe Buffalo and that's where we're going to eat. *grunts I don't like that place, it's full of people

Buffalo's Place

as expected, from breakfast, lunch and dinner, many people eat here.

All I can say is I really like the food and despite that this is Let's Eat Starfish biggest rival, I am one of the regular customers here.

Upon entering the cafe, Mavelin, the owner of the restaurant, greets me

a/n: Buffalo's Place serves Philippine food and Buffalo (water buffalo) is a national symbol of our country. Asado and Bola-bola are local names for siopao fillings. I decided to name Mavelin as the owner because it sounds the same as my friend.

Mavelin: Par, you're here
Parfait: Hi auntie, we want to eat siopao
Mavelin: really, what filling?
Parfait: sweet pork
Mavelin: just find a seat and we'll give the food to you
Parfait: okay and don't tell mother
Mavelin: I didn't scold my daughter for eating regularly at Let's Eat Starfish and why would Apricot scold you?
Parfait: you have a point

so we find a seat near the window to see the road. Minutes later, the siopao are served and I notice that it's only for me and Muffin

*grunts Vanilla will not eat again...

while eating...

Muffin: it's delicious
Parfait: you really like it? You can order another one
Muffin: Mrs. Apricot might scold me if I will not eat dinner
Parfait: you're right
Muffin: Par, the sweet chocolate rice porridge caught my attention, I want to try that
Parfait: I can cook that for you

Vanilla: you can cook that!?
Parfait: it's very easy and that's our dish, don't you know!?
Vanilla: I have no idea about Provence cuisine, you know that my specialty is Seraphine cuisine
Parfait: but you were born here, you should at least know
Vanilla: I don't care about the cuisine here, the taste are almost the same, my palate is tired of it
Parfait: you don't have to talk mean to me and when did palate got tired!?

then Mavelin approaches us

Mavelin: what's wrong?
Vanilla: I'm out of here

Vanilla stands up and goes outside the cafe

Muffin: what's wrong with this girl!?
Parfait: I think because we teased her
Muffin: she's old enough and she knows that you're crazy
Parfait: I think we went to far. I think she's pissed at us
Muffin: aw darn~ I think she got mad because I spanked her

then Parfait's phone rings

Parfait: yes mother
{Apricot: you're in Buffalo's Place again? did I tell you not to eat there?
Parfait: Muffin and I are eating siopao
Muffin: Buffalo's Place has the most delicious siopao among the others. We don't want to eat at the town plaza, yuck!
{Apricot: after you eat, you go straight to the house, we have to talk

Talk. This is the scariest moment that mother and I would have. She will scold me again *sheesh~. And the line was cut, I stare at Muffin continuing eating her food. Darn~ what are we going to talk about??

Later On. House of Neapolitan

Muffin and I enter the house. Mother is seriously looking at us... gulp!

Apricot: there you are...Pearl and Emmanuel decided to stay together in one house near the tower. Therefore Muffin can stay here again
Muffin: Thank you Mrs. Neapolitan
Apricot: and Parfait?
Parfait: yes?
Apricot: I discovered some notes in your closet and I found all the writings...it seems some recipes are unfamiliar to us
Parfait: recipes?

so I go to the table and read the papers. The papers are scattered and colorful in a way. I begin to read Spinach Stew, Banana Fritters, Meat Stuffed Grape Leaves, Sweet chocolate rice porridge. Indeed, everyone in Provence doesn't know this recipes, even my parents...

Parfait: woah! what's this!?
Apricot: I don't even know, that's your handwriting

I'm trying to remember

Parfait: Aha! I wrote this when I was in college, some new notes are from Japan. Mother, I'm planning to make a cookbook
Apricot: what!?
Parfait: you don't want me to have my own cookbook?
Apricot: you're not even a chef--
Parfait: I have a license and some certificates. I don't want these notes to be scattered in my organizer anymore. Besides, I cooked these recipes and I succeed especially the time I once cooked a green tea cake in the rice cooker

It's true, I once cooked a green tea cake in the rice cooker during Hero's birthday, and the result is funny yet yummy

Apricot: you used a hotcake mix and a rice cooker for a cake?
Parfait: what's wrong? I let father taste it and he liked it
Apricot: Grr!! that's why five days ago, our rice tasted like green tea

then father goes in the house

Reuben: Faye was able to place a right amount of green tea to the cake mix, that's why it turned out very good. Sorry for not telling you that she made a green tea cake in the rice cooker
Parfait: I'm suck at baking, but at least I succeeded to make a green tea dome cake
Apricot: *sigh Parfait... Next time, let me taste that cake and the sweet chocolate rice porridge, then I'll take care of the cookbook
Parfait: YES!!!!

I shouted YES!!! a lot of times until father stopped me. Thank goodness that I will have a chance to have my own cookbook...
