Chapter 5

"Mr. Google? Will you please play with me?" I asked the robot. It tilted his head

"Define play" it said

"You don't know how to play?" I asked it

"Y/N! Where are you?" I heard Dark call

"I'm in the hallway!" I said

Dark came walking down the hallway

"Kid, what are you doing?" he asked. I looked at him with a confused face

"Why doesn't Mr. Google know how to play?" I asked "I thought everyone knew how to play"

"Well...Google does all the work around here. He doesn't really play games at all. Sorry kid" Dark explained

I looked at Google as he resumed his usual blank stare as he cleaned up the kitchen table, grumbling as he did so

"I'll teach him how to play!" I said smiling and running over to him. Dark placed his hand on my shoulder to stop me

"Y/N, Google isn't gonna be very happy with you interrupting him. He's a little grumpy. It's best to leave him alone" Dark advised

I sighed and looked at the ground "Alright"

"C'mon. Anti and I want to show you what we found" Dark picked me up. I looked back at Google sadly. Why wouldn't he be my friend?

"Y/N! Buddy! Come over here!" Anti said excitedly. He picked me up from Dark and carried me over to a big box of things

"We were going through our old stuff from when we were kids for you and we found something we think you'd like!" he told me. He pulled out a small rectangular thing with buttons on it. It had a small screen and a slot for something to be put in it

"What is it?" I asked him. Anti's jaw dropped

"It's a GameBoy. You don't know what video games are?" he asked and looked at Dark

I shook my head. Anti sat me down in a chair. He put a small item in the slot. He pushed a button and the screen showed white before a logo popped up. Soon some picture popped up and played music.

"What does that say?" I asked pointing at the title

"You can't read?" Anti asked

"Anti the kid's like two" Dark said rolling his eyes

"It says Super Mario Brothers" Anti explained. He showed me how to move the little character around the screen. Anti explained the point of the 'video game' and let me play it. 

"Dark the kid's good at this!" he yelled. I giggled as I ran around in the game

"You'll fit in here just fine kiddo" Dark said from the doorway.

It had gotten late and I had let Anti start playing a game called Pokemon. I sat in his lap as I watched him. I snuggled close against him to keep warm.

"Kid you wanna go to bed?" Anti said softly

I shook my head and yawned "No,  Five more minutes"

Anti chuckled "Alright kiddo"

*Anti*

I felt the kid get heavier against me. I looked down to see him/her asleep in my lap. I smiled and saved the game before carrying Y/N to bed. I saw Googleplier on the way

"Would you like me to carry Y/N?" he asked, his voice sounding almost human

I blinked "Um...sure, just don't drop him/her"

I handed Y/N over to Google who held him/her awkwardly at first but soon adjusted to having Y/N in his arms

"Censors indicate Y/N is having good dreams" he said looking at Y/N with an almost loving and human look in his eyes as he watched him/her breathe softly

"Yeah...Ok Google, put Y/N in bed" I tried

Google did so without complaint. I stared in shock as the robot walked into Y/N's room. I peeked in and saw Google laying Y/N down in bed and tucking him/her in

"Goodnight Y/N" Google said before walking out and shutting the door

I watched Google begin to walk away when he said "Y/N wants to play with me. I like Y/N"
