Chapter 17

I was playing with my toys when I heard a knock on my door
"Who is it?" I asked
"Wilford" the voice said. I sprinted to my bed and dove under my big blanket
"Y/N isn't available at the moment!" I yelled hoping he'd leave. I was wrong. I heard footsteps and my blanket was lifted up. Warfstache smiled "Hello!"
I made a noise that sounded like 'Eep!' And hugged Tiny Box Tim
Mr. Mark I hope you weren't lying that Tim would protect me! I thought hopefully. Warfstache didn't go away unfortunately
"C-Can I help you?" I asked
"I just wanted to say hi" he said "Don't be afraid of me please"
I clung to my blanket in my fists and buried my face still very afraid of him. He sat next to me on my bed "I can wait till you're ready to actually communicate with me"
I tilted my head "What does that mean?"
"What does what mean?" He replied
"What you said...c-communicate" I said
"Talking. What we're doing right now" Warfstache smiled
I nodded and still held Tim tightly. He chuckled "You really like him don't you?"
I nodded shyly and buried my face in the plushy
"Mark gave that to you right?" Wilford asked
I nodded again
"Can I see it?" He asked
I shook my head and turned away from him
"Y/N I apologize for how I've been treating you" he put his hand on my shoulder "I've just been very grumpy lately"
I didn't trust him. Something seemed off about this
"Can you forgive me?" He asked with a small smile
"I guess..." I said nervously. He smiled and patted my head
"I'm glad to hear it. Do you want me to play with you?" He asked
I shrugged "I-I guess"
What in the world has gotten into him?
*Dark POV*
I walked into Y/N's room to nearly have a heart attack. Wilford was...reading to Y/N? What the hell? Tell me this is some weird dream
"Um guys? It's time for lunch" I said with honest to God confusion in my voice
"Ok Y/N we can finish the story after lunch" Wilford smiled closing the book
Y/N nodded and smiled. Wilford walked out first. I looked at Y/N and nodded my head in Wilford's direction with a confused look. Y/N shrugged "Mr. Dark I don't get it either"
I picked Y/N up and hugged him/her tightly "We just have to be careful"
"I know Mr. Dark" Y/N nodded
*later*
Wilford walked out of Y/N's room. I peeked over his shoulder to see Y/N asleep in his/her bed
"What's with the sudden change of heart?" I asked Wilford folding my arms and raising an eyebrow at him
"I decided to try what you've been suggesting me to do" Wilford smiled
I ran my fingers through my hair nervously
"Ok... I don't think I really understand...one minute you were threatening to kill the kid, now you're reading him/her bedtime stories" I said concerned and confused "If you're trying to do anything to Y/N, I will get Mark and I will stop you"
Wilford just laughed "What could I possibly do to the child?"
He turned away and walked out to the living room. I sighed and leaned against the wall as I watched Y/N sleep. I walked in the room to check on him/her. He/she was still breathing alright, so Wilford didn't kill him/her. There weren't any bruises or signs of harm either. In fact, Y/N was just fine! I scratched my head and walked out of the room "What the hell are you playing at Wilford?"
I found Anti in the hallway wanting to check on Y/N
"Dark? Is he/she ok!? I heard Wilford was with him/her the entire afternoon. He didn't hurt him/her did he!?" Anti panicked
"Slow down. He/she is fine. I have no idea what Wilford is planning" I said "But it can't be good. We need to protect the kid with our lives"
"Why wouldn't we? We already do that on a regular basis" Anti laughed
"Do you think...Y/N should spend time with Mark?" I asked with a pained voice
"Why?" Anti asked
"To keep him/her safe" I said with my voice breaking
"He/she is staying right here. We can protect him/her perfectly" Anti said
*Wilford POV*
I chuckled to myself as I heard their conversation. I walked away smiling evilly
"Yes Dark I've changed my mind...phase one is already in action" I laughed
