Chapter 4

I woke up next to Anti, who was snoring loudly. It was morning and the storm had finally gone away. I didn't have any nightmares last night either! Anti really did scare the monsters away! My stomach growled loudly. I giggled and pushed myself off the bed to find Dark. I walked out into the hall to look for Dark's room. Most of the rooms in the house were empty bedrooms. I pushed open the last door to find someone asleep in it. I walked over to look at who it was. It was Dark. He looked like he was having nightmares too. He mumbled and rolled over. I looked at his closet which was dark and open. I folded my arms and walked over to it

"Alright monsters, you better leave Mr. Dark alone! Or else you have to deal with me!" I said glaring at it. I got no response

"Did you hear me? Leave Mr. Dark alone!" I repeated. There was silence. I heard something move behind me

"Kid what are you doing?" I heard Dark ask. I looked back at him. He sat up was stretching and yawning. I must have woken him up

"Protecting you from the monsters. Were they giving you nightmares?" I asked him

Dark smiled "I did have a nightmare, but I don't think it was from the monsters"

"No! That's where all nightmares come from! The monsters in the closet!" I protested "That's what Mommy and Daddy told me"

*Dark POV*

This kid was so cute! The fact that he/she wanted to protect me warmed my heart of ice. I chuckled and got out of bed to walk over to him/her

"Thanks kiddo" I ruffled Y/N's hair

He/She looked up at me with big (e/c) eyes filled with happiness. This kid was so positive and wow he/she had a huge imagination

"Mr. Anti got rid of the monsters in my closet for me last night. They're scared of you and him" Y/N explained

"Oh did he? Well that was very nice of him to scare them off" I smiled "Would you like breakfast kiddo?"

Y/N nodded and reached his/her arms up, wanting to be picked up. I carried him/her out to the kitchen

"Should we wake up Mr. Anti?" Y/N pointed at his/her room

"What's he doing in there?" I asked

"Mr. Anti came in to keep me safe during the scary thunder and lightning last night" Y/N said

*Y/N POV*

"Well that was very nice of him" Dark told me "I think we should let him sleep in a little, ok?"

I nodded and hugged Dark tightly. He carried me out into the kitchen and sat me down in one of the chairs

"Do you want waffles?" he asked

I nodded "Can they be chocolate chip waffles? Pretty please?"

Dark chuckled "Sure kid. I'll make them just for you"

Dark pat my head on the way to the cupboard. The kitchen table was huge! There was enough room for at least 4 more people besides me, Dark and Anti

"Do more people live in this house besides you and Mr. Anti?" I asked

"Yes. Just two more. They're out for now. I'm not sure when they'll be back. Kiddo, I hate to ask you but can you go wake up Anti for me?" Dark asked me

I nodded and ran to my room. I jumped on the bed and crawled over to Anti

"Mr. Anti! Wake up! It's time for breakfast! Mr. Dark's making waffles!" I said nudging his shoulder

"Huh? Kid? What's going on?" Anti got up and blinked sleepy still

"Mr. Dark's making chocolate chip waffles!" I said excitedly

Anti got out of bed slowly. I began to race back to the kitchen but I heard a noise from one of the doors I didn't open before. It sounded like a robot noise. I opened the door to find what looked like a different version of Dark...but creepier. It made me shiver. It was asleep but standing up. It wore a bright blue shirt with a 'G' on it that glowed slightly and it had one jeans and tennis shoes too. A pair of glasses like Dark's was on his face. I poked him, expected it to be regular like a human's but it was metal. 

"Um, excuse me?" I pulled on the bottom of his shirt "Are you alright?"

The man/robot's eyes opened. They glowed slightly red and stared straight ahead. It looked down at me. I jumped back a little

"Identify yourself" It said with a creepy voice

"Um, I'm Y/N" I said afraid of him

"Y/N is not recognized as a resident of the household. Secondary objective engaged" It's eyes began to glow more red at me

I ran down the hallway afraid. Something red and warm flew past me. It was a laser! The guy was a robot! I kept running until I bumped into Anti's leg

"Whoa, whoa kid What are you running from?" Anti asked me picking me up

"The robot!" I hugged him as I saw it coming out of the hallway

"Intruder spotted" it said

"Google stop!" Dark said rushing in

The robot tilted his head to the side disappointed "Explain"

"Googleplier this is Y/N. He/she is a new resident of the household" Dark explained

Google blinked and twitched a little "My apologies Y/N"

"I-It's ok" I stuttered afraid still

"Censors indicate increased heart rate from Y/N. Are you feeling alright? Do you require medical assistance?" Google asked

"He isn't the brightest robot. HE also has little memory of previous events" Dark whispered to me before saying to Google "No Google, he/she is just afraid. Go back to the closet"

Google grumbled something about being told what to do before returning down the hall. Anti smiled at me "You're ok kid he won't hurt you now"

I nodded. Dark patted my head "It's time for breakfast Y/N. Come on!"
