Caraphernelia

(n.) A condition in which someone abandons you but leaves their belongings behind, inducing painful memories.

(also known as a PTV song)

Elliot and I arrived at school early and it was practically dead. Barely anyone was at school and it starts in twenty minutes, I suppose people decided to skip. It was too cold outside to manage, so I easily understand it.

"So you and Cole, like kissed?" Elliot asked sitting on a bench hugging herself. It was frigging cold.

"Yeah, he kissed me and we were both half naked, and if it wasn't for the fact tha-." I said cutting myself off.
"What?" Elliot asked confuses and I just shrugged laughing.

"Nevermind, nothing." And Elliot decided to forget about it too.

After that awkward moment I pulled my hood over my head, I'm not feeling it today.

"You seriously need some penis though, the last time was when? Two years ago?" Elliot said with a small grin and I shook my head. "You seriously need some help El." I said and slurped the last remains of the blue slurpie.

We talked for a few more minutes until Nisha arrived totally packed in. She wore a thick silver winter coat, two knitted sweaters and a large hat and not forgetting to mention the gloves with strings that kept them connected, it was pretty hilarious.

"What the hell are you wearing?" Elliot asked with her hands in her hoodie pocket and her hood over her head. A smile crept onto Elliot's face as her eyes turned into little slits.

"Protection." Nisha said and Elliot and I bursted out laughing. This girl is so oblivious to what she says all the time.

Nisha rolled her eyes and sipped on her Starbucks. "Laugh all you want, but at least I'm protected for when the snow storm comes that was predicted for today." She said and looked at us wittingly.

"So that explains the non-presence of almost ninety percent of the school." I said and grabbed my backpack.

Nisha nodded and pointed to the school's entrance. "Look outside, the sky is already turning grey and it's getting colder." She said and Elliot and I looked outside.

"Should we go home too? Just to be safe, I'm so not in the mood to be stuck at school during a snow storm, again." Elliot implied and I nodded, but as usual, Nisha was doubtful.

"I don't wanna miss school though." She said and Elliot rolled her eyes.

"There probs won't even be school," Elliot said and stood up. Nisha gave her a dirty eye and I smiled at the two frenemies.

"Guys, it's too cold to be fighting, let's just go and chill at my house and watch some movies or something?" I suggested and they both nodded.

"All you do is watch movies, don't you ever get tired of them?" Nisha asked walking behind me and Elliot with the Starbucks still wrapped between her gloves that are actually meant for children between one month to six years.

"Believe me, she doesn't." Elliot said with a smile while unlocking her car. I really don't get tired of watching movies, it's been an obsession for as long as I can remember.

We all stepped into the car, I in the front seat of course, and Nisha in the back. Elliot turned on the radio so we could listen to the radio.

"And now onto the weather, a bad snowstorm has been predicted and as you can see from the weather outside it's already starting to turn colder and darker. People are warned and suggested to stay inside. This weather will be for the rest of the week until Saturday. Now fo-"
