Chapter 14: Returning Home Part 2

Merci's eyes widened. What. What did she mean by "let's work on it"?!

"SO DID HE TEXT YOU?!"

Merci remained still in shock, but then shook her head as if realizing something. She looked to where her phone was across the room and pointed at it. Katie got the message and went to go get it, placing herself back on the bed with the newly retrieved phone and clicking it on.

But there was a password. Of course. Merci you untrusting bastard...

The midnight-haired girl huffed and gave the phone to the brunette who unlocked it and went to Kris' messages and showed them to Katie. Katie grinned and ecstatically took the phone from her friend's hand reading through the two recent messages. Merci grew red in the face as Katie's excitement made her embarrassed over the ordeal, gods what was she thinking?

"OMO HES WORRIED ABOUT YOU. HOW COULD YOU LEAVE HIM HANGING MERCI?!" Katie bursts after reading the messages.

Merci only puts her hands up in defense with wide startled eyes. "I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO REPLY I AM NOT EXPERIENCED IN THIS FIELD OF KNOWLEDGE."

"GAH MERCI HE CARES ABOUT CHU. IMMA TEXT HIM FOR YOU"

"WHAT NO"

Merci grabs for her phone, but the younger pulls it out of her elder's reach and stands off of the bed. Katie then looks down at the phone and starts typing on the small keyboard making Merci panic and jump out of bed after her. A grand chase begins as the two race through the house for the small handheld device.

"GIVE IT BACK KATIE"

"NO IM HELPING YOU"

After a few rounds around the living room coffee table, the dining table, and the hallways, Merci finally catches Katie in the living room-

ZOOM

The sound of the sending message lingers in the air and in the girls' ears.

"You. Did not just..."

Katie smiles.

"KATIE!!!"

The brunette tackles the dark-haired girl and grabs for the phone, pulling it away from her and reading the outgoing message.

'Hey! Sorry, I was taking a nap XP I made it home safely for your concern. Call me whenever you get this to talk! Ciao~!'

Merci went wide-eyed and red-faced. Katie had sent him a message back and it was better worded than anything she could have EVER written as a response.

"CAN YOU GET OFF ME YOU'RE CRUSHING ME"

Merci climbed off of Katie and placed her phone on the coffee table, plopping herself down on the couch. She then proceeded to smother her face with a pillow and soon a muffled groan came afterwards.

Katie sat herself next to Merci and leaned her head on the other's shoulder. "Are you happy now?"

The elder removed the pillow and gave a stare at the younger that said 'Are you kidding me right now?'

Katie only giggled in response and picked the phone back up looking at her work.

"Did you really have to put 'ciao' on there though? That sounds like I'm trying to seduce him or something."

"Well aren't you?"

Merci gasped and huffed. "No."

"Mmmhmm suuuuurrrreee."

"So what else happened on your little date?" Katie asked innocently.

Merci looked down at her lap and cheeks shaded into a light pink at the memories of last night. It was more than an amazing night. It was perfect.
