*KATIE*

Katie hops off the couch and walks over to the huge bookshelf that lines one of the walls. "Well what are you interested in?"

The two talked about their favorite genres and series and Katie tells him about what inspires her to write. As they continue to talk and the rain beat down, the two grow closer together in ways that they haven't noticed before.

Both of them realized it, but they didn't point it out to one another. As they talked on and on, they would steal looks from each other and smile as a result of seeing the other concentrating on the book in front of them. While the rain beat down violently outside, the two kids were inside, happily spending time together as they get to know each other even more.

The two settle down on the couch again, arms full of books Katie and Merci have self-published on their own. They continue to read the summaries until a silence falls over them.

"So why couldn't Merci make it?" Jungkook says when he lifts his head to look at Katie with a concerned look on his face.

"Oh, she just got asked out by a handsome guy!" Katie giggles as she claps with excitement. At her reply, Jungkook's eyes widen in shock.

"MERCI GOT ASKED OUT?!"

"I KNOW RIGHT?"

"AND SHE SAID YES?"

"YUP! I'M JUST AS SHOCKED AS YOU ARE!"

Jungkook laughs a hearty laugh and leans back into the couch.

"Every time she got asked out she would LITERALLY RUN AWAY from the guy and huddle in her blankets for the ENTIRE weekend."

Jungkook chuckles again. "She's ACTUALLY dating!"

Katie leans back into the couch, smiling and looking down at the pile of books in their laps.

"It's sort of a weird way how they were introduced..." She says as she laughs while bringing a hand up to hide her smile. Jungkook looks at her curiously and asks what had happened.

Katie explains how they had a big "notice-me-senpai" fight which ended up with Merci flying out a window for her book and running into the guy when she ran off. What she didn't tell was how she pushed Merci into him and threw a rock at her. At the end of the tale, Jungkook was in tears of laughter and joyfulness.

"Wow! Is that how it is every day with you two?"

Katie nods, plastering a bashful smile on her lips but nodding proudly nonetheless.

Jungkook smiles and nods, looking down at the books that lay in front of them. "Shall we continue?"

Katie nods and they get back to reading the summaries while the rain continues to fall at full force along with lightning and thunder crashing often.

A yawn escapes from Katie as she covers her mouth to be polite. Jungkook looks up at the grandfather clock in the room and sees it's almost midnight.

"Are you tired?" he asks, looking at the girl. Katie shakes her head and continues to look through the books that took up most of her life to write, but a second yawn from her says otherwise.

"C'mon, you should get to bed," Jungkook says as a yawn starts to escape from him as well. The two look up at each other and laugh as they yawn one after the other, like a domino effect.

They agreed to go sleep, but they started arguing about where they were going to sleep. In the end, Katie would sleep in her room and Jungkook would sleep on the couch. It was a meaningless argument, but both of them secretly liked fighting with the other.
