I need you. (Chapter 2)

Lilly's POV;
I tilted my head in confusion when Willow burst out of crowd of kids, looking like someone had set her hair on fire. She stalked towards me and dragged me away from the crowd. I winced and lowered my head like a dog that had been yelled at. Damn it. I can't help it!! It's the damn alpha blood. That and the fact that the girl I liked was touching me. Alli was practically screaming and it took every bit of self control to not pass out from happiness. "How are we mates?!" She hissed, her piercing green eyes meeting my grey ones. I shrugged helplessly, but I couldn't help it when I grinned. I couldn't help it. She was cute when she was flustered. God damn it Alli, making my emotions all weird. "This isn't funny!" She growled, her eyes narrowing. I let out a small whine (one of the sounds I actually make) and stared at the floor. Alli whimpered quietly. 'She can't reject us right? She loves us? Right?' My eyes watered and I rubbed at them angrily. What the hell Lilly, you barely even know her. She doesn't even like you. At my thoughts my stomach twisted and I wished that I had enough courage to look in her eyes and say that I was sorry. I managed to look up, and when I did, I saw something I thought I'd never see. Willow looked so pained it physically hurt me. I could feel it. "Oh god.... What am I gonna tell dad?" Her voice cracked and it seemed like she totally forgot about me. I hesitated but Alli urged me on. 'Just.... Just touch her, please Lilly. She needs it. She's in pain. We caused our mate pain." My heart sunk at that. I reached out and touched her shoulder gently. I'm sorry Willow, I didn't mean to. I wish I could just talk. Ugh what's wrong with me. She stiffened when I touched her and she slapped my hand away. Oh. I think my heart might have just shattered. Yep. There are pieces on the floor. Huh. "Leave me alone! I don't even like girls! Let alone a stupid omega who can't even shift!" She snarled. My hand dropped back to my side and I watched as she left, leaving only a small scent of strawberries, pine, and cinnamon behind. Alli whimpered and I rubbed at my eyes, fighting back tears. So that was it? I didn't get a mate? 'It hurts.' Alli whispered. I nodded in agreement. The bell rang and I flinched at how loud it sounded. 'Ow.' Alli mumbled. I shrugged simply and dragged myself to class, rubbing at my eyes the whole way.

Willows POV;

"-let alone a stupid omega who can't even shift!" I growled, I bolted off, gasping. Oh god what did I do?! Kita was screaming at me to turn around, to go back to her. I was screaming at myself to turn around and go back to her. 'What did you do?!' Kita wailed. 'That was our mate!! You- you made her cry!' I stalked to class as the bell rang. 'She's just an omega.' I thought, glancing at the teacher. 'Nothing special.' I said, hoping Kita would drop it. Saying the words 'nothing special' made me want to throw myself out of the window. Of course she was special. She's my mate. Our mate. 'NOTHING SPECIAL?!' Kita screamed. 'she's our MATE!!' I groaned quietly from how loud Kita was. She was right though. Lilly was our mate. She was beautiful. Soft white hair, grey eyes. She was tall and thin, her skin oddly pale, almost as white as her hair.... And her lips- 'I need her' Kita whimpered. "I do too." I whispered.
