Chapter 48: One Look, And I Am Sold

There was a crash coming from somewhere in the apartment startling me and making Femme literally jump into the air. I scooped her up and began scratching behind her ear again to try and calm her down as I made my way out of my room to investigate.

A woman wearing nothing but a pair of underpants and Ricky's white shirt was clattering round loudly in the kitchen area. 

"Hey! Can I help you?!"

I called over to her, making her jump.

"Oh! Sorry! I'm not used to such a small kitchen, how do you move around in here?!"

"You get used to it- but i'm sorry, who are you?"

"Oh right, sorry! I'm Caitlyn."

"Lemmie guess, you came home with Ricky?"

"Yeah! Wait..does he do this often?"

"No, you're the first girl he's brought home since he broke up with his girlfriend. You're wearing his shirt so it's a reasonable assumption."

"Ah right, of course. Did I wake you?"

"No, I was already awake. You did give Femme here quite a fright though. I haven't seen her jump that that high since I last used the toaster."

"Oh god, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that. Either way i'm sorry."

"She'll be fine. What are you doing anyway?"

"I thought i'd surprise Ricky with breakfast in bed."

"What time is it?"

"Errmm about 9:30"

She showed me her watch.

"I'd give it an hour, he hates being woken up too early."

"Oh..thanks for the heads up."

"No problem, i'll even help you. I'm waking up to a new boyfriend myself so it would be a great way to start it off."

"Yeah, you're Andy's girlfriend Jade right?"

"Errm, yeah..did Ricky tell you that?"

"Yeah, and we ran into Andy last night."

"You did? Where?"

"Ricky knocked over a guitar coming in and Andy came to check it out."

"Oh ok, if he's done any damage to his precious guitar then there will be hell."
