Waking up in my room, I looked at the clock. It was only 9:30. Wow! Then I realized that it was also Saturday. Maybe Amber could sleep over so she could see my new room. Getting dressed and walking downstairs, I went straight to my father.

"Hey, dad. Can my friend spend the night, tonight?"

"Which friend," my dad said questioningly.

"Amber, dad. A GIRL!"

"Yeah, I guess if its ok with her parents."

"Thanks, I'm going to go call her now."

Walking back up to my room, I picked up my cell and dialed Amber's number. "Hey, bestie what's up?" she answered.

I replied, "The sky. But that is not why I called. I was wondering if you would want to spend the night so you can see my new room?"

"What! Yes! I do. But let me talk to my mom first." I heard Amber walk up to her mom. I could slightly hear their conversation, but I wasn't really paying attention. I was too busy enjoying the view of me picture window. Just then Amber was back, saying,"My mom said yes. But I don't know how to get to your dad's house. If you give me the directions, my mom said she can bring me in an hour or so."

Giving Amber the directions to my house, I was running down the stairs. Amber had hung up and I was so excited I almost ran into my dad. "Whoa, there Anabell. Be careful. We promised each other no more hospital remember."

"Yes, dad. I remember. Amber's mom said yes so she will be here in an hour or so. I was coming down to tell you that. Also, is there breakfast. I starving."

"Yeah, breakfast is in the oven to stay warm. Feel free to take what you want. Oh, and Anabell. Have you taken you medicine? Make sure not to forget that."

"Okay, dad. I won't." How could I forget to take my medicine. Every time I looked into a mirror, I was reminded of it and the effects it has on hair. I missed my black hair so much.

After eating breakfast and talking to the twins, I went to get my new room to get it ready for Amber. But since it was so new, there wasn't much I could do. It felt like hours before Amber arrived. When I heard the doorbell, I almost fell off my bed trying to get it. "I'll get it," I screamed to no one in particular.

Opening the door to a very happy Amber, I invited both her and her mom in. When they had entered, I closed the door and my father came out. "Dad, this is Amber and her mom, Mrs. Philmore. Amber and Mrs. Philmore, this is my dad," I said introducing everyone.

Mrs. Philmore shook hands with Mr. Phillips while he said, "Hello, I'm Anabell's dad. But you can call me Jack if you like."

Somehow I got the feeling that they may already know each other. That's probably just me...

"Why, thank you. Feel free to call me Bridget," Mrs. Philmore said smiling.

I leaned over to Amber and whispered, "Awkward." Then more loudly I said, "Okay, I'm going to take Amber on the tour of the house."

With that we left the adults to do who knows what. I showed my best friend the whole house stopping last at my bedroom door. "This last room is my room. I got to design it but you know that. I just like saying it. Anyway, behold..."

I opened the door and walked in with my friend in tow. I heard a gasp but it wasn't my own. I turned around to see an opened mouthed Amber.

"This is your room?" Amber said amazed.

"Yep, all mine. And yours of course. You can sleep on the bottom but feel free to climb to the top. The beds are really comfortable. And, I have my own walk-in-closet and bathroom. You are now allowed to be amazed," I said laughing.
