"Ma I'm homeeeee!" I yelled as soon as I walked in.
It only took a few seconds before I heard her come rushing down the stairs.
"How was your day baby? Make any new friends? You're alright, right?" She asked excitedly.
As I mentioned before my mom is my best friend, there are times where she acts like a teen it's almost as if she's my sister and not my mom.
"Great, yes, and yes." I answered dropping my book bag down and turning on the tv.
"Nu uh we're not watching a movie until you tell me how it went! Did you meet anyone you might like?" She smirked.
"I'll tell you when I like someone when you try getting a date mom. You can't let what happened take control of your life." I said in a serious tone.
"We had this discussion before. It's not safe and I will not do anything to put us at risk. You're all I got, you and I make up our small family." Mom had a sad expression over her face and I know she feels guilty for what happened.
"Walking around, going to school, driving, hell taking a shower could be a risk for us but we still do those things. I'm gonna start training again anyways so there's no need to be so worried." I reassured her while laying my head on her lap.
She plays with my hair as she sighs,
"You're gonna start fighting again?"
Mom never liked the idea of me fighting. But it's what I needed to cope, I need to know I will be able to protect her and myself. Plus I ended up being good at it.
"Mom not this again. I haven't fought in a month and I'm getting the dreams again." I replied fixing myself to look at the tv.
She didn't say anything as we sat in silence watching a movie.
Once the movie was over it was only 5:30pm.
"I finished most of my homework already. My friend Dylan told me about his gym and it's open 24 hours. I'm gonna go for an hour or two to check it out." I said getting upstairs to go get changed.
I ran upstairs before she had the chance to convince me not to go. I quickly changed into my work out clothes which consist of yoga pants that stop right after my knee, sneakers, sports bra, and a half sweatshirt with no sleeves.
I decided to text Dylan to see if he wanted to join,
Me: Hey Dyl. Gonna go check out your gym for an hour or two, wanna meet me there??
I stored my phone away in my pocket and headed downstairs. Mom was by the door with a frown on her face but she held my water bottle out for me.
"Be safe." She warned with authority full in her voice.
I kissed her cheek,
"I always ammmm." I sang walking out the door. Before I started to drive Dylan had texted me back.
Dylan: I'm actually already there haha.
Me: Cool(: omw.It only took me about 15 minutes until I got to the gym. I recognized Dylan's car so I parked next to him.
As soon as I walked in I spotted Dylan with the hotties. Wait hotties? What are they doing here?!
The boys spotted me and waved me over. Well except Jason, he just glared as usual.
"What is she doing here?" He snapped. Oh so he's speaking again, how sweet.
