Later that night I started to feel awful. When we had walked into the tent I accidentally called for Ron. A second later, I realized he wasn't there.
I could hardly believe Ron actually left. We were a team. We agreed to do this for Harry. I had never been this upset with him, and he pushed my buttons plenty of times before. I couldn't explain it. It just felt like a stab in the back.
Ron and I have always seemed to be on the same page when it came to Harry. There's nothing more we wanted to do than to help him. Ron's family basically raised him after our first year together. Sure he's Harry Potter, but in their hearts, he was a Weasley.

Lost in my thoughts, Harry and I sat on opposite sides of the room without speaking. About that time it had probably been at least thirty straight minutes since we last talked. The radio was on, and I sat with my knees against my chest. Harry then suddenly stood up and walked to me and without saying a word, he held out his hand. Taking it, he helped me stand. He looked at me deep in the eyes, reached for the Horcrux around my neck, and took it off.
I nearly forgot that I had had it on all day. It was an immediate weight lifted off my chest.

He pulled me out into the center of the room, and started to swing me to the beat of the music. At first I thought this was ridiculous. I wasn't in the mood for this nonsense. My emotions stayed fixed on being upset, but then Harry started to make me laugh and the feeling of happiness took over my body.
Harry spun me around, showed off his awful dance moves, and made funny faces at me. I giggled and then even started to spin him around! We were having a blast! Our laughter filled the air and he pulled me into him, rocking back and forth to the music. Our laughter slowed as well as our dancing, and that weird feeling came back over me.

When the music stopped, we untangled from each other. Harry looked at me in the eyes, making me want to melt! That's when it happened.
He put his hand on my lower back and pressed me up against him. My arms found their way around his neck as he pulled me to his lips. I, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter's best friend, was now locking lips with him. The first kiss was soft, slow, and tender. As we became more comfortable, the kiss deepened. Before I knew it, his hands were roaming up and down my back and my fingers were in his hair.

I never have actually kissed a guy, so this was a very new feeling for me. Sure, there was Krum, but that was just a little peck! This was a real kiss! To be honest, I loved it.

Eventually, we broke away from each other for a split second and just stared at each other, not knowing what to say or how to respond to what just happened.
"Hermione, I want you to know that it's always been you."

"What do you mean, Harry?" I asked.

"I fell for you our first year here. I knew I liked you when in class you corrected Ron on saying 'wingardium leviosa'." He admitted.

My heart felt as if it were about to burst.
"Oh Harry." I said in awe.
I grabbed onto him and kissed him harder than before.

We backed up until we fell onto the bed behind us. Harry fell on me quite hard actually, and I made a grunting noise.
"I'm sorry." He laughed.

"It's nothing." I giggled and pressed my lips to his.

We kissed for a few more minutes until Harry suddenly pulled away, "Hermione?"

"Yes?"

"Is this wrong?" He asked.

"No. Why would it be?"
Is he not enjoying it?

"Ron." He answered, "You do know he's like in love with you, right?"

Ron. I had completely forgot about him. Sure, I had always felt as if Ron had a thing for me, but none of that mattered anymore. I might have had a small crush on him in the past, but he left us. He's not here. He gave up.
"Harry, Ron isn't here anymore. That's not important. Just like you said, it's always been you. It may have taken me seven years to realize, but I'm serious. This feels right. It feels...at home." I told him.
"This could be an actual thing, Harry."

"I want it to be." He admitted to me.

I cocked an eyebrow at him, "You do?"

Harry took my face into his hand, "I do. Hermione, be my girlfriend. Please."

"Are you serious?" I asked, trying to hide my excitement.

"I'm seriously serious." Harry smirked.

"Yes. I will." I smiled.
And with that, we shared one last kiss before heading to bed together.

That morning I woke up in Harry's arms with a huge smile on my face. I looked to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek to try to wake him. When he didn't, I started to kiss his lips until he finally responded and kissed me back.
"Well that's a very nice way to be woken up."

"Good morning." I smiled, "How did you sleep?"

"A lot better with you by my side."

"Oh how incredibly cheesy, Mr. Potter!" I exclaimed.

"Believe it or not I'm actually a romantic person!" He laughed. "Considering I've never had girlfriend..ever."

"I'm not sure how you haven't. You being the 'Chosen One'." I joked.

"Alright, ha ha you're funny." He said rolling his eyes.

"I'm joking." I laughed, "I can't believe you haven't had a girlfriend though. You're ...well...you're you."

That's when I knew that Harry and I were meant to be together. It was always him. I still feel that way. I just don't understand why he left me.
