Unexpected Love

Chapter 21

The past couple of months at Hogwarts since Ginny left have been very relaxing....
Harry, Ron, and I have had the time of our lives teaching and mentoring the students. It made me think that I could actually do this as a job.

"You think you'd want to stay?" Harry asked.

I nodded to him, taking his hands in mine, "McGonagall offered me a position here."

"It's not Defense Against the Dark Arts is it?" Harry hoped.

I shook my head and chuckled, "No Harry. It's Charms."

Harry smiled at me and kissed my cheek, "Okay... I say you do it."

"But don't you want to be an Auror?" I asked.

"I do...I can stand being away from you for little bits out of the year. Now that McGonagall's headmaster, she changed the rules remember? People from the Ministry can aparate in and out of the castle. I can come see you, Mione."

That's when I thought of how amazing this will work out. This will turn out to be a perfect plan.
"Okay...let's do it."

5 Years Later

I waltzed into my classroom and took in the faces staring back at me, "Good morning, class."

"Good morning Ms. Granger!" They called back.

This was my fourth year teaching Charms and I was loving it.
"Today-"

Just as I was about to address the class, Harry aparated into the room.

"That's Harry Potter!" Someone exclaimed.

I couldn't help the smirk forming on my face, "Mr. Potter. What brings you here today?"

Harry put an arm around my shoulders, "Well, Ms. Granger...I figured I would stop by and say hello."

I slowly slipped from his grasp and winked at him, "You're disrupting my class, Potter."

"Let him stay Ms. Granger!" Allison pipped up.

I cocked my eyebrow and looked to Harry, "Can Mr. Potter take Charms with you today?"

"Yes!!" They all screamed.

"Very well..take a seat Mr. Potter."

2 Years Later

"Mrs. Potter?"

Quickly I turned from the board and looked down at my students, "Yes?"

"I can't seem to get this feather to work!" Brenda complained.

They were trying to use the levitation charm.
I took in a deep breath and walked to her desk, "Show me."

Brenda looked nervous as she pointed her wand at he feather, "Wingardium leviooooosa!"
The feather, as I expected, did nothing.

"It's Wingardium leviosa." I stated, "Try again."

Brenda took in a breath, "Windgardium leviosa!"
Then, very slightly, the feather lifted off the table.
"I did it!" She whispered.

I couldn't help the smile forming on my lips as I walked back to the head of the class.

1 year later

Harry and I were sitting at home, holding each other on the couch. I was pregnant with our second child now. We had already had a baby boy named James. If this baby was a boy, we wanted to name him Albus.

"I love you."Harry smiled at me.

"I love you more." I laughed.

Ron was now married to a woman he met at the Ministry. Neville and Luna had gotten together as well. Everything was great.
Everything was peaceful.
I couldn't wait to have our babies and send them off to Hogwarts. I'd be teaching my own children!! I just know they'll be so smart.

I looked up into Harry's eyes and smiled. The man in front of me was the one I was meant to marry all along...and he'd been my best friend for years.
