The past couple of days were surprisingly normal. Harry, Ron, and I would walk from class to class to check up on the students, mostly first years. I helped them with spells they couldn't conquer, with the simple potions they didn't understand, and the basic Hogwarts history.
The children liked our company, and I think the teachers did too.

"Miss Hermione?" A girl with pigtails asked, "I'm Rhonda Zabini."
Zabini? This must be Blaise Zabini's sister.
"I'm having a bit of trouble with this spell."

"I'd be happy to help." I replied.
When I looked in her text book I saw it was one of the simplest spells there are. Alohomora, the unlocking charm.
"Do you mind showing me?"

Rhonda waltzed over to the locked door they had to practice on, "Alohomra."
Then she check the door, revealing it was still locked.

I smiled down at her, "You're saying it wrong." I explained, "I did the same my first year too. Try it again. This time say Alohomora."

Rhonda breathed out in frustration and pointed her wand, "Alohomora."
Surely enough, the door was now unlocked.
"Oh wow! Thank you."

Professor Flitwick hobbled over towards us, "Thank you Miss Granger. It's rather difficult to be everywhere at once trying to help. You're making this a whole lot easier."

"Not a problem." I told him, "I enjoy it."

When it was time for lunch, I found Ron.
"Where do we sit?" I asked him.

"Miss Granger, Mr. Weasley." Professor Mcgonagall called to us, "We have seats for you up here."
Up there? Where the teachers sit?
Ron and I hesitantly walked to the long table.
"Don't be shy! Come!"

Ron and I sat down beside Hagrid, who was already digging into his meal.
"Hermione! Ron!"

"Hello Hagrid." I told him, "It's so great to see you."

"Just as its great to see you!" He exclaimed, "Where's Harry?"

"He should be here soon, I know he was helping out the seventh years." I explained.
Surely enough he came into the Great Hall with some old friends. One of them was Ginny. I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. I knew for a fact Ginny had a major crush on him a year ago...
I wonder if she still does.

"Harry, my boy!" Hagrid jumped to his feet when he came near. "Come give me a hug."

Harry grabbed onto Hagrid, "I've missed you."

"Sit, sit and eat!" Hagrid told him.

Harry sat down next to me and gave me a light smile.
Boy did I love him.
Oh god I didn't just say that.

"I saw you were walking with Ginny." Ron told Harry, looking at me.

"Yeah, I was helping her with potions." He explained.

Ron nodded, "She's terrible at potions. Don't know how she got her O.W.L in that class. Pure luck I guess."

"I noticed." Harry commented.
"So, Hermione, how was your day?"

"My day?" I asked, "Well so far it's been great."

Harry had this strange look on his face that I couldn't make out.
"Lovely."

After lunch, Harry caught up with me as I was about to enter a classroom.
"Hermione!"

I swirled around, "Harry."

"Would you like to maybe go to Hogsmeade with me?" He asked nervously.

I looked around me nervously, "Right now?"

"No, after this class." He said, nervously.

"Why, sure." I answered, feeling my heart thump in my chest, "Meet me somewhere?"

"Meet me here actually." Harry told me, "I'll see you later."
Then he hurried off.

Me and Harry going to Hogsmeade? Is this like...a date?
My heart did another leap.
Oh god.
---
After class was over, I rushed outside the classroom and waited for Harry.
Why am I so excited for this?

"Hermione! Are you ready?" Harry said as he finally reached me.

"Yes!" I exclaimed.
Was that too eager?

When Harry and I walked, I noticed how incredibly close we were. I noticed the way our hands would accidentally brush against each other, and the two of us didn't pull away either.
On the way there Harry kept glancing at me as if he was trying to get the courage to tell me something.
"I'm glad to be here, Hermione." Harry then said, "Thank you for telling me to come."

"It's not a problem, it wouldn't have been the same without you." I admitted.

Harry took me into the Three Broomsticks where we of course ordered some butterbeer.
"So, what have you been up to this past year?" Harry asked.

"Well, I've been with the Ministry. Mr. Weasley offered me an internship." I explained.

"That's wonderful." Harry commented, "Do you think you'll be offered a job?"

"I sure hope so." I replied, "They all love me. What about you? What have you been up to?"

Harry looked down, "I actually have been in therapy."

"Well, I'm glad."
I couldn't help but be a bit frustrated. I'd only told him a million times to go to therapy...
Of course he listens after we break up

"I feel a lot better." He told me, "Listen, I just want to apologize for my actions before."

"Don't worry about it, Harry. It's all behind me." I lied.

Harry smiled and grabbed my hands, "I'm glad we can be friends again."

I'm not going to lie, my heart seemed to tear a bit at the word "friend".
