After Harry and I finished our drinks, we walked around, talking. Talking about the past, present, and future.
"Do you remember when Ron and I got caught in that stupid tree?" He asked, pointing at the Womping Willow.

"Oh I remember hearing all about that!" I giggled, "You two were quite adventurous."

"You know, I kind of miss those days. As crazy as it sounds. I miss holidays with the Weasley's, I miss Snape yelling at me, I miss...I miss us."

My heart stopped, "Us?"

"You, me..." He started, "Ron."

I couldn't help but frown.
He really is over me. I just wish I could get over him.
"I do too."

"Maybe after this things will get back to normal." He shrugged, "You guys are my family. If I'm being honest, I'm awfully lonely."

"I'm sorry Harry." I almost whispered.

"Hermione, I-" he stopped himself, "Never mind."
---

As I walked around the castle, I ran into someone quite familiar.
"Oliver Wood?"

Oliver smiled, "Hermione Granger. I never would have thought to see you again."

Oliver was the captain of our Quidditch team until he graduated. He looked very different from when I last saw him. He actually looked kind of cute.
"Why are you here?" I asked him.

"Well I actually came back for Quidditch." He explained, "Mcgonagall wanted me to help recruit teams."

"You still play?" I asked.

"I do." He laughed, "I actually got offered a position with the Leprechauns in Ireland."

"That's a pretty big deal." I gasped in amazement, "I think that's wonderful."

"Thank you." He smiled, "Listen, I know this is pretty forward of me, but you you like to go out sometime?"

I was taken back a bit, "Me?"

"Yes you." He chuckled, "You've grown up to be quite the lady."

"I...yeah. I'll go out with you." I agreed nervously.

"Awesome. I need to head down to Mcgonagall's, but how about this weekend we go find something to do?" He smirked.

I nodded, my cheeks growing bright pink, "I'd like that."

As soon as he left, I dashed to go find Ron. When I found him, he was of course in the Great Hall eating anything he could find.
"Ron!"

Ron gasped, nearly choking on his food, "Blimey, Hermione! Fair warning next time."

"Sorry." I apologized before sitting down, "Ron I just ran into Oliver Wood."

Ron furrowed his eyebrows, "Like Quidditch Oliver Wood?"

"Who else would I be talking about?"

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes, "Anyways, go on."

"He asked me on a date." I breathed out excitedly.

Ron spit out whatever he was drinking, "Damn Hermione! I liked this pumpkin juice."
He wiped his mouth off before turning to me, "What about Harry?"

I cocked an eyebrow in confusion, "What about Harry?"

"I just thought maybe.."

"Ron, he's done with me." I told him, "I can see it. I need to move on. This could be good for me."

Ron had a funny look on his face, "Okay."
I knew he wasn't telling me something...
"I just want you happy."

"Thank you Ron." I smiled and hugged him, "You're the best."

"I know."
---

As the weekend rolled along, I met Oliver in the hall.
"So, are you ready?" He asked.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." He answered, taking my hand.
As we walked outside, we passed Harry. When he first saw us I swear his eyes popped out of his head!
"Harry Potter!" Oliver exclaimed.

"Oliver." He said, stunned, "Hey."
Harry looked down at our hands.

"Boy, it's great to see you!" Oliver told him, letting go of me to hug him.
"You're a hero, mate."

"Not a hero. I just did the right thing." Harry answered, "May I ask where you're going?"

"I offered to take Hermione out today." He explained, "I'll catch you later, alright? We need to catch up."

"We do." Harry agreed.

When Oliver and I walked off, I looked behind me to see Harry staring right at me. He was clearly angry.
Before I had a chance to think, Oliver took me to his broom.
"Are we here to admire it or what?" I asked.

"You're funny." He winked, "Hop on." He told me as he straddled it.

"I don't know." I started.

"Come on."
I got on behind him, feeling weary. It's been a while since I've rode on a broom.
"Hold onto me."
The broom lifted up off the ground, causing me to latch onto Oliver.
"Don't be scared, I'm a great flier."

We the sped off into the sky, "If I die, it's on you!"

Oliver laughed, "You won't die. I won't let that happen."

Oliver flew over the Black Lake, causing me to hold on even tighter than before. When I actually started looking around, I noticed how beautiful it was out here. The sun was perfectly placed in the sky, the clouds just barely hiding it. "Wow."

"Pretty, isn't it?" He asked.

"Very." I gasped.
When Oliver started to turn his body around to face me, my eyes widened.
"What are you doing?!"

Oliver was now completely turned around, "Just chilling."

"You're out of your mind, Oliver Wood!" I exclaimed.

"Maybe." He shrugged, "I just wanted to look at you."
I couldn't help but smile, even if he was crazy for doing such a thing.
Oliver leaned in closer, our faces just inches apart, "Can I...kiss you?"
I nodded slowly.
Oliver took my face in his hands and pressed him lips to mine. I kissed him back even. This felt okay. He wasn't Harry, but it was a start.

Oliver and I continued to kiss, flying through the air. Then out of no where the broom jerked!
We broke apart and screamed!
The broom had a mind of its own! It threw us off, and we landed straight into to water below us.
"What the bloody hell?!" I screeched.

The broom was still making jerking movements, until it went still and fell into the water with us.
"Well...that was interesting." Oliver chuckled.

"You're something else." I told him.

He swan closer to me, helping hold me up, "I like you, Hermione."
He placed a small kiss on my cheek, "Come on, let's get out of here."
