It had been about a week since my mother called me about Célian's engagement.

Célian had actually called me the day after and talked about how excited he was to be getting married. I was actually happy for him and surprised him by saying it.

Every morning I go to the café and Zachary already has my drink ready.

Today I walked in and I paid and he gave me my drink. My hand brushed his as I grabbed the cup and I noticed he looked really nervous.

I gave him a pointed look and he sighed, "Um, this is really stupid and I shouldn't ask because I know what you'll say and I-"

I cut off his rambling, which was actually cute the way his cheeks grew bright red in embarrassment, "What is it Zachary?" I asked.

"Would you, um, want to get some lunch sometime?" He asked, his bright eyes meeting mine as he chewed his bottom lip nervously.

I gave it a quick thought and was about to say no but I really wanted to get to know this happy bright young man. My mothers words echoed in my head, 'you don't even have any friends do you?'. That might change soon. I was almost thirty, it was about time I had a little change.

"Sure." Once the word left my lips his eyes lit up and his smiled.

"When?" He asked, his voice still a little hesitant.

"How about tomorrow at one?"

He nodded and-if it were possible-his smile grew.

"Tomorrow at one." He echoed.

With that I walked out the door and headed for work.

I can't believe he said yes. From everything that Margret has been telling me about him I figured he would definitely say no.

But I asked anyway because I really wanted to get to know him more than just how to media portrays him.

I thought about telling Margret about it but I didn't want to. I wanted this to be my little secret.

Once morning rush was over I decided to take the rest of the day off.

I got home, took a shower and decided to watch Netflix the rest of the day in an attempt to not obsess over my lunch with Basile tomorrow.

Once I got to work Archer walked up to me and once again before he could speak I spoke, "Make sure I don't have anything planned for tomorrow one throught two."

"Yes sir. What for?" He asked as the elevator doors closed.

"I have a lunch date." I said as I straightened up my suit sleeves.

Archer gave me a look and smiled, "Someone special?" He asked.

"Maybe."

"Basile, are you finally getting out there?" He smiled.

"What's my schedule for today?" I asked, changing the subject.

He looked down at his schedule, still smiling and read it out loud.

"Thank you." I said as I walked to my office and got to work.

Sorry it's so short I just really wanted to give you guys a chapter. The lunch date will be the next chapter.
