I couldn't help but watch my poor Zachary as he slept. I had never seen him cry and with his bubbly personality I believed he never would.
I had finally rounded up the courage to kiss his soft lips and now they might be taken away from me. I hated thinking like that, his father was dying of course he needed to go see him. I know what it's like to loose your father, I just feel worse for Zachary because he has more memories with his father, more things to miss.
I turned and walked out of the room I pulled out my phone and made a few calls.
I set up a flight for the next afternoon on my private jet. I didn't want Zachary worrying about the expenses or stress of flying home, especially if he was going home to see his sick father.
I walked back to my room and got ready for bed. I crawled under the covers and turned off the lamp and soon fell asleep.

I woke up to feel something, more like someone, snuggling into my side.
My eyes opened and I looked down to see Zachary snuggling into me.
I smiled and ruffled his hair lightly.
His eyes fluttered open and he looked up at me giving me a small smile.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Better. When are we going to go to America?"
"You want me to go with you?"
"Yes, your the one helping me get there and I don't think I can do this alone."
I nodded. I'd have to take my work with me, I'd missed enough days already.
"My private jet is scheduled to fly you, or us, back to America this afternoon."
He nodded, "Thank you so much for doing this for me."
"Of course." I said and kissed his forehead.
Just then my phone started ringing and I grabbed my phone to see my mother was calling.
"Hello?"
"Basile!" She squealed, "Look on the news."
I turned to Zachary and asked, "Can you grab the remote on your night stand and turn on the tv?"
He nodded and turned it on.
The news was already on and Zachary didn't have to understand French to know they were talking about us.
A picture of Zachary and I kissing was blown up on the screen as the news anchor talked about us.
Zachary looked at me, "Are you okay with this?"
I smiled and wrapped my arm around him, "I don't care what they think of us as long as you're mine."
He smiled back and cuddled into my side, "Aww how sweet." I heard my mom say on the other side.
"Where did you two love birds go so early yesterday?"
I looked down at Zachary knowing he heard what my mom said and he nodded letting me know it was okay for me to tell her.
"We are going to America."
"What, why?"
"Zachary's dad is sick, I'm flying him back home tonight."
She was silent on the other side before saying, "Pass the phone to Zachary."
I did as she said and Zachary took the phone and listened to my mother.
