It had been a month since the wedding dinner and today was the wedding.
Basile had taken me on a few dates since then and I had given him a few more of my paintings.
One night on a very special occasion Basile actually envited me to his house or more like mansion. He actually prepared our dinner and I discovered that Basile could play the piano very very well.
I remember the beautiful moment like it was yesterday.
"Come here Zachary, I want to show you something." Basile smiled and stood up from the dinning table.
I smiled back and stood up, following him to the living room where a black Grand Piano sat across from the couches.
I looked on top of the piano to see my paintings, all five that I had given him so far. They were the only color in the black and white inspired room.
Basile sat down on the Piano bench and patted the spot next to him. I slid beside him and questioned, "You can play?"
"Ever since I was a child, yes."
"Are you going to play me something?" I smiled.
He looked at me and nodded, he looked back down at the black and white keys and placed his fingers over the keys he was about to play.
I sat waiting patiently for him to begin. Finally after about a minute of hesitation Basile began to play and the sound that filled my ears was beautiful. The song he began to play was so hypnotic and it made me forget about everything but him, the one creating this beautiful music.
I sat there, my eyes glued to Basile's hands as they glided across the keys forming the hypnotic tune.
When he was finally finished I didn't want him to stop, "That was... beautiful, I have no better word to describe just how amazing you are at playing the piano."
He chuckled lightly, "Thank you Zachary, I was afraid you wouldn't like it."
I smiled at his fear, "Did you write that song?"
He nodded, "You are amazing, do you have any more songs?"
He nodded again and I encouraged him to play them and he did.
We sat there for hours, him playing his beautiful songs as I watched in fascination.
Half way through his preformance I leaned my head against his shoulder smiling as I listened to the music.
I smiled as I was brought back to the present.
Today was the wedding and I had managed to find a suit that wasn't so expensive so I wouldn't look underdressed.
I was having trouble tieing my tie when Basile knocked on the door.
"Just a second!" I yelled from where I stood looking at my laptop and mirror trying to figure out how to tie the fabric.
I finally just gave up with a huff and when to open the door.
Basile stood there with a smile and he chuckled when he saw my annoyed expression and untied tie.
He stepped in and reached for my tie, "Let me help you with that."
He tied the fabric quickly and smoothly and I laughed as he finished and wrapped my arms around him, "Thank you, I've been trying to tie this stupid thing for thirty minutes."
