I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I waited for Basile. I couldn't believe that I had been invited.

Finally there was a knock at my door and I opened it to find Basile smiling, "Are you ready?"

"Yeah." I nodded as I walked out with him.

Once we were in the car his driver began to drive us to where ever we were going.

I was looking out the window until I felt his hand on my hand. I looked over to him and smiled as I laced out hands together.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

He smiled, "I don't know."

I narrowed my eyes at him playfully and he chuckled, "It's a surprise." He said.

I nodded and then looked down at our hands, his hands were so warm and they swallowed my small baby hands.

I smiled and looked back out the window at all the passing buildings.

When we finally arrived I saw that it was an outside restaurant. We stepped out of the car and I followed Basile to a gazebo with a nice wooden table covered in beautiful decorations.

I sat down beside Basile and he spoke, "Jean and Grayson should be here soon."

I nodded but right as he said that a car pulled up and they stepped out.

They walked over and Grayson smiled at me, "You must be Zachary." He said holding out his hand, "I'm Grayson." He introduced as if I didn't know who he was.

I smiled, "Nice to meet you."

Jean walked over and shook my hand and introduced himself.

"Where are Kaleb and Quinn?" Basile asked.

"They are with Charlotte." Grayson answered.

Basile nodded, "So, how have you been?" Grayson asked starting light conversation as we looked at our menus.

"Good." Basile answered.

"That's good. Zachary, what do you do for a living?" He smiled as he set down his menu.

I scanned through mine and found what I wanted then folded it up and looked at Grayson, "I actually just work at a café down the street from La Boussière Inc." I answered.

"That's cool." Grayson smiled.

Now Jean spoke, "How did you two meet? To be honest I didn't think Basile would ever be in a relationship. No offense Basile."

"None taken." He said as he set his menu down, his face showing no sign of emotion.

"Well we met when Basile stopped by for coffee at the café that I work at, and eventually he started stopping by every morning." I turned to look at Basile and smiled. I reached for his hand under the table and he took it in his and he smiled lightly back at me.

We continued light conversation until we ordered and got our food.

When it was time for us to leave I found I didn't want to, I had been in a conversation with Grayson and I found out just how much I loved talking to him.

We exchanged phone numbers right before we left.

When they left and Basile and I were walking to the car, hand in hand I couldn't help but smile and look at him, "I had a lot of fun tonight, Jean and Grayson are so fun to talk to and their kids, Kaleb and Quinn are adorable." Grayson had shown me a picture of his babies as we talked.

Basile smiled at me, "I'm glad you liked them."

We got into the car and his driver drove me to my apartment. Right before I got out I felt Basile's hand on my arm.

I turned to him and he was smiling slightly, "How you would you like to go to my brothers wedding dinner?"

I smiled, "I'd love to."

"Great, it's in a week, is that okay?"

"That's perfect, thank you so much for inviting me." I said happily and I kissed him on the cheek.

I pulled back and bit my lip hoping I didn't over step, Basile just smiled at me and I hugged him goodbye.

When I walked into my apartment I started a new painting that would soon turn into a series inspired by Basile.

This painting was simple, it was night all around and two black figures were standing in the light of the moon, one kissing the other on the cheek. I stayed up for a few hours perfecting it and when I was finished I smiled in content and looked around my wall to see where I would hang this new series of paintings.

I found some blank space on the wall beside my bed and decided that that is where this series of paintings would go.

I huffed when I realized I would have to get more paints. I looked at the time and noticed it was close to three in the morning. I didn't have to go to work tomorrow so I just decided that I would draw, since I don't have enough black paint to do this on.

I pull out my charcoals and begin scribbling on the canvas making the outline of what would soon be Basile.

After I finished the detailing I smiled at my creation. I set down the charcoal and looked down at my black hands. I looked back up at the drawing and I nodded, I think this is one of the best charcoal drawings I have ever done.

I smiled and hung it up on the wall. I hope it wasn't too weird that I drew it and hung it on my wall.

I laughed to myself and plopped down on my bed. It was five in the morning and I was finally able to let sleep take over.
