I heard beating on the door and I opened the door and the first thing i saw was Erina in Joel's arms. he shoved me aside and put her on the bed. I pulled out a first aid kit from the bathroom and i started wiping her face. Her face was swollen and cut . i could only imagine the worst. She whimpered when i touched her . I whispered to her .
"It's ok Erina it's just me . Shhh." She realised who i was and she tried to talk but I told her not too. She nodded . i put salve on her cuts and tried to give her medicine for a low grade fever. Joel watched me intently and then I heard the door open. I looked up to see Mathew.
"Oh thank god! I am so glad your here!" He just stood there and then my smile faded from my face.
"Whats wrong?"
"We have to talk but not right now. What happened?"
"We don't know Joel just brought her in." Then we both turned to Joel he just shook his head.
'I just found her calling for you Myla. So i brought her here. Did I do the wrong thing?"
"No not at all. Mathew can you go rent the room next to us so Erina can be close to us . Please?" He nodded and left . Joel came next to me and said.
" He is acting weird." I nodded in agreement then I went back to attending to Erina's wounds.
He came back five minutes later with a room key. He looked over at me and then at Erina.
"I don't think it's a good idea to move her so we will just take the other room and Joel can stay here and bodygaurd her since you will be with me ." Joel and i agreed and I left Erina on the bed and pulled Mathew over to the side .
"What is wrong Mathew?" He just shook his head and when i tried to touch him he stepped back.
"We will talk later ." That was the last thing he told me before he left and i didn't see him again until later that night.
Joel helped me watch over Erina and get her fever down. I changed her into a plain cotton gown and she was sleeping peacefully in my and Mathews bed . Well now it was Joel and her bed. I told him to gaurd her with his life and he swore to that oath. I gave a silent thank you to him and he told me I needed to get some rest.I went to the other room that adjoirned this one and i took my clothes with me . The room matched the other . Plain but elegant and accented in white and champagne colors. I changed into my white night gown and put I put on a pale blue robe over and I unbraided my hair and let it fall in waves then I sat on the plush couch in the corner and waited. It was early when the sun came up before Mathew returned to me .
