Harry knew he couldn't tell Ginny, he knew that Dean was cheating on her. He also knew it would also break her heart. Harry sat in his four poster bed wide awake thinking. What would Ginny do if the tables we're turned? Would she tell him if it was to say Cho cheating? Would she stay out of his business? All these thoughts whirled Harry's head. He was uncertain so he just knew one thing what would he do if he told Ginny the truth? Would she believe him? What would Ron do to him? No forget Ron, all her brother's do to him if he hurt Ginny?
"Harry?" Called a voice coming upstairs. Harry reacted quick thanks to his Seeker skills, he laid down and took his glasses off trying to pretend to be asleep. "Harry?" Ron's voice turned to a whisper. Harry didn't answer for fear he would end up bursting out what he saw because he was afraid what Ron would do to Dean, and not just Dean. Himself, he knew and kept it from Ron, so he pretended to be asleep. Moments later Harry heard shuffling as Ron made his way towards his bed. The bed creaked as Ron sat down at the other end, Harry felt him lean over, obvious to get a look if Harry was asleep or not. A moment passed and Harry felt him get up, "night Harry" he whispered and not too long after that, Harry heard loud snores.
Harry's eyes bolted open and he sat up. Sighing Harry got up and looked over and saw Neville was already fast asleep and as for Dean's bed, it was empty! What the bloody hell? Wasn't he here like 20 minutes ago? Harry took hold of his map and wand as he made his way down towards the cool marble stairs. Harry walked downstairs towards the fireplace and sat on the cosy couch. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" Harry whispered. "You sure are up to no good Mr Potter" spoke a voice from behind. Alarmed Harry jumped up and spoke, "whose there?" He gripped his wand dangerously, "Harry?" The voice of Ginny Weasley. Oh no Harry thought. Anyone but her.. Harry repeated. Harry glanced down at his map and saw the words Dean Thomas and Parvarti. He quickly shut it closed and plastered on a fake smile. But Ginny knew better he was hiding something, she could read him like a book. "What do you have there?" She asked as she tried to reach for the map but Harry put it out of her grasp, Harr stood up and Ginny followed. "Oh just my map" Harry spoke cautiously. Don't say anything stupid! Thought Harry repeatedly. They kept staring into each other eyes, Harry couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was wearing her pjs, with slippers and her hair was split, covering her ears and a small fraction of her face. Harry had a sudden urge to pull the string behind her ears, take hold of her hand---- "Um yeah" Ginny advanced by taking a step forward which made Harry take a step back. "Harry I'm not stupid, what are you hiding?" Ginny asked a bit more demand in her voice.
Harry just shook his head and cleared his throat, "Nothing" Harry said trying to sound convincing. Ginny raised her brows and left the matter, "What are you doing up this late?" she asked curiously. "I could ask you the same" Harry retorted back. "I'll tell you, if you tell me" Ginny took a seat again but this time she pulled her legs up hugging them. Ginny's gaze was on the fire the whole time, her guard up making Harry wonder , she was in deep thought. Harry nodded and motioned for Ginny to speak, she didn't speak straight away. But when she did her voice went dull as if it wasn't Ginny. "Nightmares" was all Ginny said. Harry nodded understanding her. He had the same but oddly enough he felt not awkward to talk about them to Ginny, yet he felt more relaxed. Why, he'll never know or even admit for that matter entirely. "Same" was all Harry had to say making Ginny understand.
They talked for about 20 minutes or so and Ginny felt something, as if all her feelings, her hidden feelings that she supposedly lost had hit back to her. These feeling weren't your average feeling towards a boy or girl, much to her dismay to admit these were towards Harry and now that she knows it she isn't gonna let it go. He was always going to be a part of her either she let it or not. The aching of her heart screamed for Harry, the longing for him to notice her was unbearable, she loved him and she was too God damn afraid to admit it. God some Gryffindor she was!
Talking to Harry now and when she does made Ginny forget about her fears, her nightmares, her fights and her relationships. Harry was the light of her day, the sun in her sky, the feeling of her pulse rate speed up. It hurt that she loves him and her breath hitches in her throat from the sight of him, he's on her mind all the time, if she was honest with herself this was more then 'Feelings'. Ginny, she wanted to share her dreams, her hopes, her life and her love with him but can't as she knows he won't like her back.
Fear is a small but very powerful meaningful word. Fearing the unknown is probably the most scariest things we humans think about. For example our crushes, afraid of not being liked, or appreciated or even loved for that matter. If you had or have a crush, which you probably did or do like Ginny, you'll know in time if they were worth the wait. You'll know if they were the right person, its because it was always them, they were always there. They can be your worst enemy, your best friend, the best part of you but most importantly there who they are.
As for Ginny from that small conversation she realised she really hadn't lost her feelings for Harry, she didn't push them back nor think about them, she let them wonder into her heart. They made her who she is, and what she will become. But she was guilty of pushing it far. There is still a part of her feels more guilty that she used Dean and Michael to get over her feelings and tried to get notice by Harry.
Ginny couldn't really put a finger what she liked mostly about Harry, like what's not to like about Harry? His sexy messy black hair, his green eyes and round glasses. He ain't a troublemaker but trouble seems to find him, he takes responsibility for things he shouldn't and is given a bad time by sytherins. He's brave and smart, handsome looking and his white teeth are perfect--- " I'm going to bed night Gin ". Ginny was pulled out of her trail of thoughts as Harry waved at her and she shook herself and back to reality.
A couple of minutes later Ginny decided sleep was needed as so she climbed the stairs and fell flat on her bed exhausted. Falling into a deep sleep or more so a coma, dreaming of nothing but Harry and what would it be like to be his.
New chapter up soon,
Summery, How do you think Ginny finds out? Will Harry tell her? Next chapter involves a hogsmeade trip that turns out disastrous for who? Will Ron take it the easy way or the hard way about his best friend? I'll leave ye in suspense!!!Keep calm and love Ginny Weasley!!
