Third POV
The wind screamed within the Black Forest. An owl shivered in response to the gusts, something about that twilight made Harry's footsteps appear loud in the darkness. The crunching sound of the leaves as he walked towards his destiny. The silhouette of Hogwarts castle glistening off the moon mapped the forbidden forest. Harry found his footsteps were getting heavier with each step, his thoughts blocking out the full journey ahead, he found himself gripping the circular object as tight as he could. Death. It was all he could think about.
Harry let his mind wonder for that brief moment. He was terrified. Something about death was frightening. The idea of being gone was daunting. Suddenly a wave of guilt consumed his stomach. Harry gulped back the tears that were forming almost stinking his green eyes. Between his heavy footsteps, the weight had spread to his chest. It was over. He had to give himself to death willing.
Harry held out the circular ball in front of his face. His eyes glistened as he put the object up to his lips. "I am ready to die" Harry whispered to the darkness of the forest.
I open at the close. Appeared on the golden object. It had only dawned on Harry what it meant. The snitch opened and out came a tiny square shaped stone The Resurrection Stone, floating upwards. Harry grasped it shutting his eyes as tightly as possible.
The silence grew, consuming Harry. He allowed one memory to shine in his mind.
Flashback*
"Harry put me down!" Ginny bellowed. Her eyes shone with excitement. It had been a long tireless week for both individuals, Harry with his private lessons with Dumbledore and Ginny with her, studying. Harry sighed softly while putting his girlfriend down. Ginny beamed up at him. Harry couldn't let that be the last straw. His hands found themselves snaking around her and pulled her gently against him murmuring softly in her ear.
"I got you" Harry said triumphantly.
Ginny's heart was on fire. She couldn't stop the smile that ripped her face. Her hands had found themselves thrown around Harry's neck pulling him in more gently. Her brown eyes found his emerald green eyes and they stared intensely back at her. Both gazes switched from eyes to lips and it was a battle of wits. Who would break, each other thought.
Harry lost instantly. He pulled her as closely as he could. Pressing her body into his, kissing her as passionately as he could. Ginny sighed into the kiss. It was her favorite. I could get use to this Ginny kept repeating to herself. Harry pulled away sooner than she wanted. He extended his hand out and guided her towards the lake.
"A date awaits for us"
It was one of the most memorable date he had with Ginny.
End of flashback.
Orbiting himself back to the moment, Harry gripped the stone harshly. He knew it was time.
Harry's POV
From darkness to light my eyes adjusted to the grim forest. It wasn't the sight of how grim the forest was but these four figures that stood rooted staring at me with hope and pride. I instantly recognized all four figures.
My legs took over and I found myself staring at the same pair of green eyes. Mum. I didn't waste a second and found myself reaching for her. However to my horror I never got to touch her. She was a ghost. Frozen to the stop I found myself darting a look at all four figures, my heart shaking, my father, James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and my mother, Lily Potter.
