HARRY'S POV

"Ginny" I whispered under my breath.

I could feel all eyes on me but I decided to ignore them. My green eyes set on Ginny's brown. But as I opened my mouth,

"Alright Weasley's lets go!" Arthur Weasley stormed in with Mrs Weasley behind him.

"Alright there Harry?" Mr Weasley turned towards me.

I gave him a small smile and he didn't press it. Eventually everyone disapparated back to the Burrow. The feeling of missing a figure haunted me, Fred. I couldn't do this, how could they forgive me? And mostly Ginny? If only I gave myself sooner and not said my farewell to Ginny. But I had to see her. I had to.

Once my feet touched ground I felt a hand on my shoulder, hoping it was Ginny's, my smile grew instead it was Hermione and I tried best to keep my cheeks upwards. She gave me a small smile, "Alright there Harry?" her tone laced with concern.

I nodded not wanting to talk or not trusting the sound of my voice. We all walked in silence towards the Burrow. Silence, something I haven't heard in so long, it seemed so bizarre.  All the usual bustle from the Burrow, was gone.  The war conquered our spirit.  Maybe I was just tired?  I kept my gaze to the ground, while my head was spinning.  The silence turned uncomfortable and I kept thinking of everyone who didn't survive the battle.

Moments followed and Mrs Weasley broke the silence by talking to Bill. George on the other hand walked down near the paddock. I watched Ron follow, whereas Hermione and Ginny went straight upstairs. As for me, I walked in the opposite direction. I kicked a small stone nearby and finally when I gave in to kicking the stones away from me, I leaned down on my knees and touched the water. I gazed at the ripples and let out a long sigh. The peace. The quietness. I slowly reached up near my forehead and touched my scar.

"He's gone" a voice spoke.

Turning around my eyes landed on Hermione. "I know" I answered back softly.

"She's in there you know" I knew who she was on about. She wasn't expecting any less of me.

"I know Hermione. I just can't" I let out yet another sigh, I turned away just so I could hide the pain on my face.

I heard Hermione's footsteps nearing me, "you can't or you won't?" she stated arms crossed.

"It's--" I started to say but shut it once she interrupted me, "your fault?" She scoffed. "You really think it's your fault?" She scoffed once again. I shut my mouth and looked down. "You're an arse Potter" she grinned. I could hear the playfulness in her tone.

"I know but if only I just handed myself up sooner rather than later".

I looked up to see Hermione stare blankly at me.  I couldn't read her expression.  I waited a moment for her reaction, but all Hermione did was take a deep breath.

"Harry, look what happened happened. You can't change it. You defeated him Harry. There is no more fear. Nothing. Future generations can live in joy, laughter and more importantly happiness. This was because of you. Yes people died, but they didn't die in vain. They died of bravery. They died because they wanted a better world. They died heroes and they knew what they were getting into."

It was helpless trying to talk. Hermione ranted on more and I paid no more attention. For as long as I known her I know when to zone in and when to zone out. Especially now.

"Harry are you even listening to me?" She asked annoyed.

"Not really" she rolled her eyes, she opened her mouth to speak when, "DINNER!" Mrs Weasley roared.

"Talk to her" was all Hermione said before turning on her heels.

I followed a few moments after and my eyes immediately caught Ginny's. She offered a small smile and I returned it in the best way I could.  Mrs Weasley handed me a plate full of food and I thanked her graciously.  My eyes fell around the room, bouncing from person to person.  It hit me, George didn't join us and I felt the guilt sink into the pit of my stomach. I felt the sudden urge to talk to George. I slowly got up, leaving the plate full of food behind.  I walked towards Mrs Weasley I thanked her again before slipping past her before she the full plate of food noticed.  I needed to search for George.  I passed by Ron, to which he looked at me his face full of food, my face was disgusted "Ronald chew your food!" Hermione growled angrily. Ron just shrugged and gulped down his food. As for Ginny just played with her food and I decided she was next on my list to talk to.

I walked out my eyes sought out the one ginger I wanted to see. I made my way towards the paddock in hopes of finding George. As I made my way I saw a figure, staring at the sky. He didn't move, as I neared I could see the tears rolling down his cheek. I could see the pain and loneliness in his eyes. My heart started to hurt and I immediately fell to my knees. I clenched my stomach as the pain I felt was guilt build and build up. "Harry?" I looked up into George's red eyes. He had heavy bags under his eyes. He held his hand out for me to take and I hesitated.

"What's wrong? Are you alright? Should I go Mum?" George cried.

"No! I'm okay" I slowly stood up, "I'm so sor--"

"You don't  have to do this Harry" George snapped. "Ginny told me you would do this" He gave me a small smile. He rubbed his eyes and then took a deep breath.  He stared into the stars before taking a step away from me.

" Freddie wouldn't want me like this" with that said George left.  I stayed in the silence, staring up at the sky.  I took what George said and kept replaying it.  Eventually I decided to go somewhere else, with what George said in my mind I went back to the bench where I occupied hours ago. I sunk down. Eyes closed. Leaning over. I took deep breaths. I heard footsteps and I didn't bother looking. I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder and then the figure leaned over and kissed the top of my head. I instantly got the scent of flower and my theory was correct. Ginny. She slowly tried to make me look at her but I couldn't.

"You won't even look at me" her voice laced with hurt.

She started to walked away but I caught her hand. Bringing her into my tight embrace, she melted right there. I realised she was shaking. My shirt was getting wet and then I realised she was crying. I rubbed her back while holding her near.  I tired to ignore the sting I felt in my chest. Hours or minutes went by, when Ginny looked up. Wiping her eyes.

"Harry" she whispered.

"Gin" I spoke back.

She brought her hands up to my face where she rubbed it affectionately. I leaned into her touch and she skimmed her hands over my face. Her eyes never leaving mine. She kissed my forehead, then my cheek and lastly she leaned in my lips. And it was good. Not good. Brilliant. This is what I fought for. Her. To come home to her. For Ginny to be safe. She was mine. And I was hers. Pulling away I cupped Ginny's face, "We're here" I smiled for real this time and so did Ginny.

"Finally we have each other" Ginny grinned.

"Your mine and I'm yours" I kissed her nose and took her hands while interlocking her hands with mine. "Mine eh?" She smirked.

"I love you Ginevra" I smirked. Ginny's face turned sour and she hit me playfully, "if you ever call me Ginevra I'll show you torture" she glared playfully. I gave her a heartily laugh and she laughed along with me.

"Mine" Ginny and I said at the same time.

Ginny and I spent over an hour near the lake talking.

"Oh and Harry if you ever side with my mother" her voice was serious and she had a hard blazing look on her. But she continued, "Voldemort wouldn't be the thing you most fear!" She glared. I gulped and nodded relentlessly.

"Okay Ginevra" with that I ran off down the hills with Ginny firing spells at me.
