"So, when is Melanie going to be here?" Carly asks as we sit in her apartment.
"Huh?" I say confused.
"Melanie. You know, your twin sister. The one you hate, the one that's coming for a visit?"
"Oh yeah, she should be here in two days." The lie slips off my tongue with ease.
"Cool! I can't wait for her to come! What do you want to do when she gets here?"
"Nothing."
"Come on Sam, she's your sister. You should at least try to get a long with her." I roll my eyes.
"Carly, you can't control my life. I've agreed to get along with my mom but not my sister."
"Sam..."
"Don't Sam me. It's my choice. Anyway, isn't it time for iCarly? Shouldn't we go up to the studio?"
"Yeah... Yeah lets go." Cary hesitates to go up at first, but she soon does and I follow after.

"Good show guys!" Spencer says as we make our way down the stairs.
"Thanks," Carly says. "It was pretty great."
"Great! More like amazing! I couldn't stop laughing!"
"Well, it is a teen effort." Carly says. "I couldn't do it without these two great people." She moves closer to Freddie. She wraps her arm around his and bats her eyelashes. I roll my eyes.
"Desperate," I think. I look again and see Freddie isn't doing anything to stop her. Not wiggling or saying anything. He just stands there and lets her do it. I grit my teeth. Freddie turns and looks at me.
"Why won't he say anything!?" I think. This goes on for what seems like years. But really its only seconds. Finally, I grab my backpack.
"I have to go," I say as I head out the door.
