"What is this?!" Carly's shirk awakens me. At first I'm not fully a where of the situation, but then I realize, me and Freddie fell asleep with my head on his shoulder, his arm around mine, and my arms wrapped around his waist. I sit up suddenly, take my hand, and slap Freddie across the face.
"Really Freddie?!" I shout. "That's low! We broke up 4 months ago it's time to move on!" Freddie then shoots up off the couch.
"I'm not the one whose arms were all over me!" he spits back.
"You obviously wrapped my arms around you when I was sleeping! Seriously you need to get over me!"
"If anyone needs to get over anyone it's you Sam." Carly says, interrupting.
"What?" Freddie says turning to face Carly. I then face Carly myself, and give her a glare.
"Nothing!" she squeaks. "Anyway who wants breakfast?"
"Bacon please!" I say walking into the Shay's kitchen.
"Just bacon? Nothing else?" Carly asks reaching into her fridge.
"Waffles." Freddie and I say in unison.
"Waffles it is then." Carly says grabbing the materials.
"I'm going to wash my hands, in the bathroom." I say walking and motioning for Freddie to follow.
"I'm going to wash my hands too." he responds.
"Don't kill each other!" Carly calls after us. As we approach the bathroom we step in and close the door behind us and lock it.
"I'm so sorry for-" I begin, but I'm cut off. Freddie pulls me towards him and our lips touch. I move my arms and wrap them around his neck. Our lips then move with one another.
"I'm sorry." I say when our lips part. Freddie brings his finger to my lips.
"It's ok," he says. "It's all part of the act." He then begins to lean in once more, but I stop him.
"Shouldn't we go back out?" I ask.
"Carly maybe getting suspicious."
"Let her get suspicious. It's worth it. I get to be with you." I can feel my checks become warm. I look in the mirror and see that they are red. I never blush. I then lean and have my lips press against Freddie's.
"I love you." I say, and continue to kiss him.

"Water hog!" Freddie yells as I stomp at of the bathroom.
"Really Freddie? It's just washing our hands! It's no big deal!"
"Sure, it's not a big deal! Nothing is every serious to you Sam!"
"Things are serious to me!"
"Like what?!"
"Our relationship was!"
"Woah there!" Carly yells from the kitchen. "What is up with you two lately? You guys are fighting more then usual."
"No, we aren't," I say heading towards the island. "Are those waffles ready?" I see Freddie appear next to me out of the corner of my eye.
"Yes, you are, and don't change the subject Sam."
"I wasn't changing the subject I was just askin-"
"Why can't you two go back to the way it was when you were dating?" I see Freddie tense up, so I put my hand on this arm.
"Things will never be like they were then." I say, my face blank.
"Well, I'm not talking about the kissing and stuff. Just the getting along part."
"No." we say in unison. Carly sighs.
"I guess things are going to have to be how they use to be." I look over at Freddie and nudge him. He looks over, and i whisper.
"Let's ditch this place, and get a breakfast someplace else."
"Ok." he whispers back. "Dang!" Freddie then yells. "I can't stay for breakfast."
"Why?" Carly asks a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"I'm meeting my dad for the first time." There's a loud crash. Carly's mouth is wide open.
"Your moms finally going to let you meet him?!"
"Umm, yeah! Anyway got to dash!"
Freddie says running towards the door.
"I can't really stay either." I say getting up from my spot.
"Why not?" Carly asks, this time not holding back her annoyance.
"I have to help my mom with more preparations for my sister's visit."
Carly rolls her eyes.
"You should've done that stuff last night!"
"Yeah, yeah. I know!" I say as I open the door. I then shut it behind me. Freddie stands out in the hall waiting for me. He puts his hand out and I grab it. We then run down the halls to Freddie's car.
