Matt's arms hugged me tight, while I was hiding my face in the space between his neck and my shoulder. He was whispering in my ear that it was going to be okay, while he stroked my hair.
After a few minutes I had managed to keep myself from crying, though I couldn't understand why was I crying. A part of me missed Matt terribly, the other part was still trying to figure out how was I supposed to feel after seeing Matt for the first time in three years and after a terrible end.
When I finally managed to stop crying and calm myself down, I broke the hug. Matt smiled softly at me and cupped my face in his hands.
"How are you? Better?" His stare locked on mine and I could tell that his eyes looked teary as well.
"Yeah..." I muttered, looking down. "Thank you"
"No problem, Clare..." He whispered and kissed my forehead. "C'mon, let's go back"
I nodded and the both of us walked back towards the cheering crowd. Kate, Tivy and Dom were still there, joking and laughing. I wasn't sure if they were paying any attention to the music, but they were laughing and surely having a good time.
When we approached them, Kate held Matt's hand and kissed his cheek. When Tivy saw me, he immediately leaned closer to my ear, asking me if I was okay. I limited myself to nod softly and thank him. He smiled at me, the sort of smile that said "if you need anything, let me know" and I smiled back at him.
I felt Dom's stare on me and looked at him. He walked to my side, holding my hand and kissing my head.
"Everything's alright?" He said.
"Yeah" I whispered without looking at him.
"C'mon" he muttered pulling me close to the crowd. "Let's dance, that will probably cheer you up, yeh?" He said leaning his face closer and smiling.
After several seconds I looked up and met his stare. His warm smile felt comforting and managed to make me smile back at him. I chuckled softly think I about how easy he made it sound. Dancing was going to make me feel better, well, I hope it does.
"Okay" I said, staring into his eyes.
He shot me a flashing smile and winked.
"That's my girl" he said cheerfully and we walked into the crowd.
I giggled as he looked at me and grabbed both my hands and began swinging them randomly as I followed him, shaking my arms stupidly. He laughed and leaned closer to my ear.
"You're a great dancer" he joked.
"I look stupid as hell!" I answered him and kept moving and dancing.
He began dancing ridiculously as well next to me, as we both laughed at each other. His wide smile was so contagious, no wonder why Dom would never fail to make me smile. He was such a sweetheart and charming at the same time, he had this relieving and chill atmosphere following him everywhere it was impossible to be in a bad mood with him around.
