What is This Feeling?

Gray POV

It's 2 days before the field trip!

*ground begins to shake* *earth starts tearing apart!* me and Ziri were separated by a crack in the ground that kept growing and growing! "GRAY!" She yelled holding out her hand. "ZIRI!" I yelled and reached out for her. The distance between us was growing by the second. "TRY TO JUMP!!" I yelled over the roar of the ground. She was hesitant, "ILL CATCH YOU!!" I held out my arms ready to catch her. She nodded and got a running start. She jumped off the edge and reached out her hand. All of a sudden the ground started to move faster! She didn't make it. "ZIRI!!!" I screamed as I watched her silently fall into the darkness.

I woke up with a gasp! Trying to catch my breath I took a look at my surroundings. Good. I'm in my bedroom. I-it was just a dream. I thought.

My phone buzzed. I picked it up and it read:
from: Natsu
Hey! Where r u? Schools about to start!

What? I thought

I looked at my phone to check the time: 8:20am

"Oh crap!" I got up as fast as I could, hoped in the shower for a few minutes, and got ready for my day. I then slapped my uniform on and just swung the tie around my neck not bothering to put it on. I grabbed my bag and struggled out the door.

I got to the school panting and my hair dripping wet.

Natsu stood in front of me and said, "man! You like got ready in 6 minutes! That's impressive!"

Still panting I said, "crap...I didn't...get to...eat any...thing."

"Well that won't be a problem!" Said a cheery voice.

I looked up and saw Lucy walking up to us holding a bag of cereal. "Here! Have this! I ate at home." She held out the bag which I gladly took.

As we walked to class I ate the cereal and ruffled my hair trying to dry it.

When I got to my class I opened the door and Natsu and Lucy went off to their class. Natsu winked at me and mouthed the words 'good luck'. I rolled my eyes at him and stepped in the class.

I closed my eyes, sighed, and plumped into my seat. I opened my eyes only to see some bright purple hair. I focused my eyes a little more an noticed it was Ziri. My eyes lit up at the sight of her. I just wanted to lean over and hug her! But I didn't. Because I knew it would look weird and everybody would think I liked her or we were together.

She seemed to notice baca use she asked in her sweet voice, "are you ok?" She squinted her eyebrows a little and tilted her head. Her lips were slightly open, and her eyes a shade of icy blue. I now noticed everything about her. Her every breath, her every blink, i didn't know what has come over me.

I tried to answer, "u-um...." But I was saved by the bell.

Mr. Goldmine stepped in and began the lesson.

After class I walked to my locker: 105 and Ziri's was 106. I watched her open her locker, take out her books, close the locker and watched her every step until she turned the corner.

I snapped out of it and got my stuff and headed to my next class, which was also with her, you know...I-it's kinda nice having all but one class with Ziri. I thought. W-what am I thinking?! I shook it off and sat down.

I sat behind her and all I could see was her beautiful silky purple hair. The brain on the right side of her head reminded me of the first time I met her. She was so quiet and strait. And she still is. W-what's going on? Why am I like this? I thought to myself trying to figure it out.

I was trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together for the next 3 periods. 6th period was the only one I had without Ziri. I noticed the absence of color in the room and the presence of a lonely breeze. I didn't know what was going on. Finally after a while class period of trying to figure it out the bell rang.

I gathered up my stuff and headed to last period. Mr. Guildarts said, "alright you little brats. I don't really care what you do in my class just don't let me get caught not teaching you guys. If anyone asks say your doing a group activity." At that he plopped in his wheely chair and fell asleep and all the students started talking. Ziri got out a book called Eragon and started reading it.

The whole time he was talking I was starting at Ziri trying to figure out what to make of this weird day but I couldn't. Her eyes, her hair, her uniform, everything about her sparkled.

Natsu came over to me and tapped my shoulder. I snapped out of my daze and followed him to the other side of the room. "Hey. I've noticed how you've been stair in g at Ziri. Is something up?" He said with a smirk.

"Well....today's just been weird. I-it's like everything about her is different. I mean last period she wasn't in my class and it was just different. I don't know how to describe it." I replied.

At this Natsu's eyes lit up. He leaned closer to my ear and whispered to were I could barely hear him, "your in love Gray!"

At his words my eyes widened and I whisper yelled "I AM NOT!!!!"

"Oh yes you are!"

"Am not!"

"Oh yea? Why don't I go ask her." He started walking over to Ziri. I couldn't stop him so I stayed right there. I couldn't see what they were saying so I stepped closer to hear, "So Ziri...do you think Gray Fullbuster has a crush on you?" He smirked.

She set her book down and looked at Natsu with a strait face. "No. I just think we're.....basketball players." She picked up her book and continued reading.

Natsu came back and scratched the back of his head. "Well getting her opinion is out the window." He said.

"Well no duh! She's.....she's like the 'Ice Queen'. She has no emotion."

"Well that's cold!" He chuckled.

"That's not funny." I stained at him.

Hey guys! Sorry this was a really long chapter. I just couldn't find a good place to stop 😁 So! I am going to take a break from this story for one chapter. On Halloween I am going to post a special Halloween party! It will be SUPER long and POV's will be changing like crazy! If u wanna read that then fine by me! But if u don't that's cool to! And in this Gray and Ziri will become GrayZi I know one of u will be like "OMG OMG YAAAAS!!! *^* *^* *^*" and u know who u r. So I hope u will read it!
