The Game!

Gray POV

When she came and sat next to me I asked, "how you doin'?" She gave me a disgusted look, "um...well it looks like we're going to be seat buddy's! Ain't that cool?" She didn't reply.

I noticed twirls the end of class that she had a braid on the right side of her head. "Did u make that braid yourself?"

she looked down but was hesitant to speak, ".....my sister made it." She simply replied.

I didn't think she would even reply! I thought to myself.

*RIIIIINNNNNGGGGG*

The bell rang and everyone was up z out of the class. Mr. Goldmine yelled, " don't forget! Bring your maps tomorrow!"

I went throughout the day and some of the classes I had with Ziri but I didn't sit next to her. Then it was last period.

I stepped into science class. And the bell rang. *RING*

A few minutes later Ziri walks in and sits down in the only empty seat which just happens to be next to me.

Ms. Porlyusica said with a grumpy voice, "did you get lost in the hallways?"

"Yes ma'am." Ziri replied.

"Very well then!" Ms. Porlyusica continued, "for the last few days we haven't done anything! So today we are going to be doing some- STOP TALKING!!!! Experiments. Your table buddy's will be your lab buddy's for the entire year!" Everyone was surprised that she just stopped to yell at someone and went directly back to teaching. Sweet covered everybody's face. Well...except for Ziri.

Why is it that she never shows any emotion? I thought to myself.

"Looks like we're lab partners." Ziri said getting ready for the experiment.

The class ended and the bell rang. *RING*

"Good no more measly kids that I have to teach!" Ms. Porlyusica explained as she walked out the door.

I walked up to Natsu at the lockers and said to him, "ready for our game?"

He looked at me with full confidence, "hell yea!!" He clenched his fist at this and closed his locker. "I'm headed over there now!" He started to walk away and I went to my locker.

Ziri came up and said, "I heard you were gonna play a game?"

"Yea! Natsu, me, Sting, Rouge, and Gageel are gonna play a game of basket ball."

"Can I play with yall?" She asked crossing her arms.

"Um...sure.....it can be a 3 on 3 now!....do u know we're the gym is?"

"Yea." She said walking off. I followed.

When we got there I saw the others practicing. Then I said, "hey! Ziri is gonna play with us so we can play a 3 on 3!"

The Gus came over and looked at me weird. I'm not even sure if she knows how to play! Why did I bring her along anyways? I thought questioning myself.

"Does she even know how to play?" Gajeel asked holding the ball.

Ziri frowned and took the ball from his hands. At that she jumped and shot the ball making it in the basket. "If you might look down you should see that were standing close to half court." She said outing her hands on her hips.

The guys were in shock at what they just saw. I was as well.

We were still in uniform so me and her went to go change. (In separate locker rooms of coarse!!!!)

When we came out we picked our teams. It was Ziri, Rouge, and Natsu V.S. Gajeel, Sting, and me.

"We playin' full or half?" Natsu asked me.

"Full! Your team gets that basket and we get the other. Flip for ball." I pulled out a coin, "heads or tails?"

"Heads!" Natsu said.

I flipped the coin into the air and caught it. I lifted my hand to find that it was heads. "Your ball!" I passed Natsu the ball.

"Let's go! Rouge down the court! Ziri stay back here! You can stop the ball if it comes close to the basket!" Natsu yelled giving orders and dribbling down the court. Everyone obeyed and went to their positions.

Natsu came up the center and was about to shoot when Sting made him loose his balance and the ball was going out of bounds.

All of a sudden Ziri came up from behind Natsu like a lightning bolt, jumped up in the air, caught the ball, and dunked it into the hoop. "2 to 0." She said running down to the other side of the court.

Man she's good! Kinda like- wait a minute! Was- my thoughts were cut off when Gajeel threw the ball to me and yelled my name.

The game went on for 30 minutes. The final score was 21 to 17 with Natsu's team with the win.

"*pant, pant* we won! Good game!" Natsu said exhaustedly.

"I'm gonna stay and practice some more! I need to beet you some day!" I said picking up the ball and shooting.

"Ok bye!" He said walking into the men's gym room.

Ziri stayed with me after the game and practiced.

"You were really good! Were did you learn to play like that?" I asked.

"I thought myself. I don't really get to practice with anyone because my little sister can't play that well. So thanks for letting me come along! I had lots of fun."

"You know.....I haven't seen h smile all day. Why is that?"

"Reasons." She simply answered. "Will you come here tomorrow after school and practice with me tomorrow?" She asked making her way to the girls gym room.

"Sure. And maybe you could teach me how to do some of those special shots!" I replied walking into the men's gym room.
