Piper's POV
I went with Annabeth and Jason to see if Percy would like to hang out with us at the beach before lunch. Leo said that I might be able to use a little charmspeak on him to persuade him to come.
"Does anyone even know where we is?" Jason asked. Annabeth and I exchanged looks and shrugged.
"Try to think," Jason suggested again. "Where would Percy go when he's mad?"
"Umm... Maybe.... Ooh! He's probably with Mrs. O' Leary! That's where he always goes when he's upset." Annabeth jumped up and started to run towards where Mrs. O' Leary stayed. She stopped and looked back at Jason and I, "come on," she said said sarcastically. Jason and I exchanged glances and ran after Annabeth.
"He should be here somewhere," Jason said and peeked his head through the door. "Do you see him anywhere?"
Annabeth pointed to the corner of the room where Percy sat next to Mrs. O' Leary hugging the poor thing. She raced to Percy's side and grabbed his hand. "Are you ok?" She asked him. At first, no answer. Then, he looked up at her with red puffy eyes like he's been crying.
"Does it look like I'm ok?" He asked and sat his head back on Mrs. O' Leary's back. I began to walk towards them, thinking what I could say to make him feel better. "Well, if you want to, we're having a picnic at the beach! You can come if you'd like!" I tried to sound cheerful but nothing's more sad than a crying Percy.
"We could make you some blue pancakes?" Jason suggested which I could tell got Percy's attention. I don't know why he loved blue foods so much but hey, Percy's unique in his own way. He looked up at Jason and smiled, the first smile I've seen in his face all day. "Thanks."
Annabeth helped him up and held his hand as we walked back to the beach. "So, what was wrong with you earlier?" I asked him, hoping he wouldn't get mad at me.
"I don't really know," he replied. "I just kinda had one of those days where I'm just mad at everyone." Not the answer I was expecting. I thought someone made him mad or something. As we walked to the shore, I spotted Frank putting up the blanket and laying out all the food. Hazel was supposed to be helping him but instead, she was splashing around in the water with Leo. And by the look on Frank's face, I could tell he was jealous. Oooh! Someone's jelly!! I thought. I laughed at my joke in my head as we met Frank by the picnic blanket.
"Hey! I didn't think you were gonna come!" Frank said to Percy.
"Yup!" Percy said. "Now, Jason, you promised me blue pancakes." He sounded so serious it made Annabeth and I burst out laughing. "What?!" He yelled. We just kept on laughing which made him a little mad. "I'm serious!"
After our nice picnic in the sunset, we decided to go for a swim. Percy, obviously, freaked out because he loves swimming so much. We all jumped in and waded to the deep end. "Does anybody know what time it is?" Leo asked, randomly.
"Now Leo, do you think we know what time it is? We don't have phones, we don't have watches, and we for sure don't carry clocks." Frank said sarcastically. Again, we all started laughing. Hazel laughed so hard she almost drowned. And that's pretty much how out night ended up because right after we got finished swimming, we ran to our cabins and fell right asleep.
GUYS, I AM SO SO SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT FOR THIS CHAPTER! AND IM ALSO SORRY THAT IT IS REALLY SHORT! THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT AND WAITING FOR THE CHAPTER AND NOT BUGGING ME ABOUT IT. HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY! AND I PROMISE, THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE UP SOON AND YOU WONT HAVE TO WAIT SO LONG:)
