"Where were you the whole day?!" He asked as he just looked down at the water with bashfulness. He didn't know how to tell him he doesn't want to be recognized. That he's afraid. "You never told me your name by the way." He sat beside him by the little river surrounded by all those trees. Mitch looked up at the sky as his eyes shone at the light of the stars. "You like stars?"

He nodded. Scott smiled and laid his head down on the grass making the boy follow his gesture. Then they both shared a look. "I'm Mitch." He said with a smile. Scott smiled even wider at the sound of his voice. He had thought he heard a girl.

"Mitch. That's a cute name." He complimented as his cheeks warmed. "There are a lot of stars up there with many different backgrounds. Some of them are gods and some represent Zodiacs. Like Aquarius, which means the water bearer." Mitch couldn't stop listening to Scott's words. He could tell that his dad had told him a lot about stars. He loved to hear about them, specially from Scott. "Do you have a favorite?"

"Hercules."'he said as Scott smiled. "What do you know about that?"

"Well, he was defined as the hero and defeated the Nemean lion, Leo, and the many headed beast, Hydra. And also killed Cancer the crab. Like from the Disney movie." He said smirking. Mitch frowned with ignorance because he didn't get what was so humorous. "You haven't watched that movie?"

"What's a movie?"

"You don't know what a movie is? Seriously?" He asked raising an eyebrow. Mitch has never been anywhere out of the lake. It was his home, and he was very homesick.

"I've been here for as long as I've lived. I've never seen any 'movies.'"

"Well, then what do you watch?"

"The stars." He said looking back up at them. Scott could see how much Mitch loved the stars. "I don't know a lot about them. Only when your dad talk about them during spring and summer. Those other days when you're not here I lose all my knowledge. I wish you guys stayed."

"Well, I wish you could've stayed last night so I would've show you to my dad. He would've liked you and told you all about the stars and Greek gods and whatnot." Mitch just looked up at the stars but still thought about it.

"I'm scared."

"Of what?"

"People. Not you, you're cute." Scott was confused yet flattered. "I've never met people. Not like you guys. I'm not lonely though, I have friends."

"Who? Are there more?! Is your family here?!"

"I mean the stars. They're my friends." Scott was beginning to think Mitch was crazy.

"The stars?"

"Yeah. Somehow I can connect with them."

"How?"

"Your lullaby. Every time I hear it I think of the stars. I feel like they talk to me through you. That's why I trust you." He took Scott's hand and smiled brightly looking into his eyes. Scott did t want to tell him he thought he was losing his mind because he looked like a nice kid. Or maybe he's wrong about him and the stars can really connect with Mitch. He wasn't sure.

Mitch suddenly opened his mouth widely and closed his eyes shut making a loud yawn come out his of breath. He looked really tired. He laid his hand in Scott's laps as Scott placed his hand on his cheeks watching his eyes slowly close. He looked beautiful.

Close your eyes, lay your head down
Now it's time to sleep
May you find great adventure
As you lie and dream
If you're scared of the darkness
I will calm your fear
There's a light in the hallway
So you know I'm here

So count your blessings every day
It makes the monsters go away
And everything will be okay
You are not alone
You are right at home
Goodnight, goodnight
