We just got news that the captain stopped the ship because the generator is currently broken at the moment so we will be taking a brake right now while the engineers work in it. I hope everything will be fine, I'm scared but my parents keep telling me that's nothing will happen and we'll be fine so I'm sure we will.
It's been two hours now and they haven't fixed it yet, you may think having no electricity on a boat would be fine, but I can't charge my iPad, turn on lights, I can't do anything so in the meantime I've been looking out on the same view I've been looking at for 8 days now. IM SO BOARD!
So that can't get the generators running so that are just gonna continue going to try to get there. We are only about halfway there so the radios that are battery operated can't reach that far. So we can't contact help until we either get closer to land or get the generators back up. We have life boats on this ship for emergencies so...
(The sound a engine makes when it blows up) well, now we have no engine!
"Didn't we have the engineers check everything before we left" my mom asked the captain
The captain replies "yes, we did but I guess the engines broke because of their age and nothing we could prevent"
So I guess that means we will be taking lifeboats.
