CHAPTER FOUR
(Zia’s POV)
I was utterly shocked for two reasons: a.) I had Maths with Seb and b.) He volunteered to show me around.
“Well then Mr. Bennett, you can show Ms. Carter around so that she won’t be late for another class.” He looks at me with a satisfied smirk, and I just want to rub that smirk off his face. One minute he can be like those guys in cheesy romance films, then after a second he’s the same arrogant douche I met at Shack’s. Talk about bipolar much?
Don’t get me started with the parking lot incident that was very embarrassing. Being the new girl I felt all eyes on me once I got out of Laynie’s car, which freaked me out a bit. When I got of the car she told me “Typical boys”, pointing at the group of boys looking at me with their jaws hitting the floor. I laugh at their expression when I felt myself shivering from a look a certain person. My eyes met Seb’s and let the cliché moment start. I’m not a mushy type of girl, but I felt all giddy inside when I saw him looking at me, and it’s not the typical look that Seb’s been giving me since I first met him. He seemed awed by me, and when we were face to face I felt myself stutter in my greeting.
So weird.
When he said his greetings, his friend Beck said his greetings to me as well. He had this boyish-look that seems to work for him all the time. His blonde hair messy but makes him more attractive but it seems like Seb carries it off better than him, his chocolate brown eyes warm and bright compared to Seb’s emerald eyes that doesn’t fail to make me giddy inside, his lean and muscular build screamed confidence but Seb’s taller frame looks better. Beck broke the mushy moment between me and Seb, and I felt a bit cold when his gaze left me. Beck looked handsome, but Seb was a clear winne-
Wait, where was all this coming from? I shake my head as Laynie leads me to the Office to get my schedule. She seemed more eager than I was and when I asked her why she simply said “I just wanna see if we have classes together. Can’t let my friend wander alone theses halls alone, you know?”, and I understood her. She was just looking out for me since boys were giving me lustful looks that creeped me out a bit and girl were giving me a mix of curious looks and death glares, one in particular was the bimbo I met at Shack’s, the one who was sucking out the soul of Seb. We enter the office, instantly greeted by a woman in her late fifties, with streaks of white hair standing out from her russet colored hair, her hazel eyes filled with kindness, and her voice soft and melodious as she greets me and Laynie.
“Well hello there Laynie, to what do I owe this visit?” she asked me.
“Hey Clara, we’re just gonna get the sched of the missy right beside me.” Laynie replied nudging my arm.
“So this must be Zia,” Clara said as she looked at the files, getting a piece of paper and some books. “it’s a pleasure to meet you dear. My name’s Clara.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Clara.” I said, giving her a genuine smile. She giggled, saying something about polite girls being rare. I guess in this school girls would be snobby when Clara said that.
“Well I’ll let Laynie here take care of you. If you need anything don’t hesitate to come here, alright?”
I nodded and said “Thanks, Clara. I’ll see you around”, before leaving with Laynie holding on to my sched while I carried my books.
“Well you got Maths first” she said rather disappointed, “but you got English with me for second. And your locker is…aha! Next to mine, locker buddies!” I laughed at her sudden enthusiasm. I entered the locker combination and placed the book I didn’t need, hopefully I can just come back later to get the other stuff. I suddenly felt someone behind me, and sure enough bimbo was in there along with her two minions.
