After seeing the death of the Special Operations Squad, Eren had been noticeably more depressed. Though everyone saw, no one tried to help. Whenever he walked into to a room people would just stare at him. Even Mikasa didn't do anything. (Y/n) was furious. "Why won't anybody make him happy again?" She thought. She wanted to help, but he couldn't. Eren and (y/n) weren't really on speaking terms at the moment. Shortly before the deadly expedition (y/n) had confessed her feelings for Titan Boy. However, Eren didn't reply and (y/n) took this a sign that he didn't return the feelings. That wasn't actually the case but (y/n) didn't know.

One day after seeing Eren mope around the ought training (y/n) decided that enough is enough. She was lucky enough to catch Eren while he was alone. "Eren, I need to talk to you."  She demanded. "It's not about what I told you before the expedition."
(Y/n) didn't have for a response and grabbed his arm. She dragged him to an area were they could talk privately. "What do you want to talk about?" He asked, with a depressing tone. "This. You. Whatever you're feeling! Why are acting so depressed?" Eren only looked down. "I don't know what you're talking about." He mumbled. "Yes, I know you do! Eren, I just want to help." She grabbed his hands once more to comfort him. Eren looked up and had a few years running down his face. "I-I can't tell you." He stuttered. "You can but you don't want to. Eren, you can tell me anything. I know I'm not as important to you as Mikasa or Armin but I still want to be there for you." Eren couldn't hold back the get's anymore. He threw himself on (y/n) and cried into her shoulder. "I-it's my fault! They d-died because of m-me!" His actions took (y/n) by surprise but nonetheless she hugged him and comforted him. Her arms were wrapped around his slightly larger torso as he bent down to cry into her shoulder. She rubbed his back and allowed him to cry. "Sometimes you gotta let it all out." She said more to herself than to Eren. After a while Eren's sobs turned into sniffles and hiccups. "Eren, things happen. You can prevent every death that happens. People die everyday. I know it hurts, believe me I lost people too. As soldiers it's our job to be strong. Not just physically but emotionally too. When our friends die we have to stay strong. Could you imagine how scared kids would be if they saw the soldiers crying?" Eren looked at her confused. "Scared? Why would they be scared?" He asked, still holding on to her. "They would be scared because they people who are supposed to be saving their life are crying because they're not emotionally strong. Wouldn't you be scared if the people you depend on we're scared and crying?" Eren nodded. "I see what you mean. You just worded it weirdly." He had a light smile of his face. "There's that smile that I love to see! Eren, we've all lost friends but he have to keep smiling." (Y/n) looked into his eyes. "(Y/n), I love you." Eren confessed without a problem. (Unlike (y/n) who was a stuttering and blushing mess)(Y/n)'s eyes widened. "B-but I thought-" Eren had cut her off with a kiss. His lips were softer then she had imagined. (Y/n) kissed back, obviously. Eren smiled into the kiss, which caused (y/n) to smile. She pulled away an started to laugh. At first Eren was confused but then decided to laugh along. "Why are we laughing?" Eren asked. (Y/n) shrugged. "You smiled which made me smile and then I started laughing. I'm a weir person, I know." Eren wrapped his arms around the smaller girl. "That's why I love you. Thank you for helping me. You're an angel."
----------------------------------How was that? When I started writing this, I had just woke up. I paused halfway to eat a sugar filled breakfast and then the story took a weird turn. Just like reader-chan, I'm a weird person.
