Macys pov
We approached a train heading down to Florida. It was carrying Tulsa corn down in exchange for Miami oranges. I smiled. I love the smell of oranges. Not to eat, just the smell. Soda looked nervous. "Cant we just pay?", he asked. "No. This is tougher than just paying", i said.
"You've never train jumped before, have you?", i asked. "No. Do i look like i train jump?", he asked. I smirked. "Better learn, or you'll be left behind", i told him. He looked even more nervous. We waited another five minutes and the train began to move. I started to run, having to catch up with the open car door. I jumped up and grabbed the handle, pulling myself in the car. I smiled, knowing i had to be the best at this. I looked out the car door to see Soda running.
"Come on Soda. Grab the bar!", i yelled over the wind. He grabbed for it but missed. "Come on! You can do it!", i yelled, but i wasnt so sure. He was definitely stronger then me. How could he not do it, but i could. I looked the other way. A bridge was coming up over water. Soda wouldnt be able to follow. "Come on Soda." He grabbed the bar and pulled with all his might. He swung himself up and tumbled to the back of the car. I laughed and walked over to him unsteadily. The train was accelerating. I fell and thought i was gonna hit my head on a box of corn.
But Soda caught me. "Be careful there", he winked. "Dont worry about me Soda. I can jump into a train on my first try. Just you wait til we jump off", at his expression, it made me laugh even more. The rest of the time i spent sleeping on Soda, waiting for the train to reach Florida.
