I sat in the back of the car with my arms crossed, looking out the window. I could feel Dallas' eyes on me, and i wasnt going to meet them. "What did you do?", he whispered. I ignored him.

"Hey no talking back there. Your in trouble", the officer said. "What did we do?", Dallas asked. "You know what you did. You were in a fight", he said. "Thats it? We got arrested for fighting? Thats stupid", Dallas said. "You know very well that hitting girls is illegal Mr. Winston. Ms. Stevens is in trouble for something else", the police officer said.

"What did she do?", Dallas asked. I didnt even care. I continued to look out the window as they kept talking. "We have been looking for you for almost two years Ms. Stevens. If only you hadnt been in the fight. If only someone hadnt called us, and you would still be out on the run", the cop said. I could tell the suspense was building inside of Dallas. "What did she do?", he asked again.

"I mean, all those people. Do you know how many of them got severely sick? One was close to dying. But he pulled through at the last second. Do you remember a John Bender?", the cop asked. I turned around quickly. "What about him?", i asked. "He was on his deathbed. But then they gave him this really expensive drug that reversed the effects. Hes perfectly fine now. But still his oldself. An asshole", the cop said. "Is he in jail?", i asked. "Well obviously. He was on major drugs. It didnt help that some of them were from you", the cop trailed off.

"Your a drug dealer!", Dallas yelled. "Was a drug dealer. When i realized what was going on, i stopped immediately", i whispered. "Were you on drugs Ms. Stevens?", the cop asked. "Never", i answered. "Is Bender ok?", i asked. I didnt know he was hurt. He was an ex boyfriend. I dumped him, more like ran away as usual, when he said he said he only dated me for drugs. Thats when i realized i was turning into my parents.

"Hes ok, i guess. I wouldnt know. I work outside of the jail. You will have to ask one of the wardens when your in there", the cop said. "Whos this Bender guy Macy? Why do you care so much?", Dallas asked. "What do you care? Your not my boyfriend", i said. "But i want to be!", he said.

The cop pulled into the parking lot. "Alright, lets go. I have to cells ready for you", the driver said. I slowly got out of the car and followed the one cop in. Dallas was putting up a fight with the other one.

The cop directed me to a cell that was completely empty. "Is there anyway i could talk to Bender?", i asked. "Tomorrow at lunch i suppose", the officer shrugged. "Alright", i said. I sank onto the bed in the cell as the cop closed the door.

He didnt lock it, but i didnt get up. I did the crime, i deserve the time. I watched as three cops were dragging a struggling Dallas to the cell next to mine. He didnt see me, so i was thankful he didnt try and talk to me. I drifted off to sleep.
