He clutched her hand tightly in his own as he braced himself. He had done everything wrong as far as this person was concerned. Smartly dressed in the new Armani suit he had purchased, he adjusted his tie nervously. Jung Yunho always stood as tall and strong as a mountain but at that moment, his heart was fluttering in fear, his stomach was tied in knots and his toe's were twitching in discomfort. He was scared shitless.

Next to him, she stood. As graceful as ever. Her pale blue chiffon dress fell to her knees, decorated with white lace on the neckline and the hems and her ebony black hair fell to her shoulders. A hairband bearing a big white satin bow and embedded with white stones was placed neatly in her hair, her bangs framing her beautiful face. Her lips pronounced with a light gloss, her eyes darkened with kohl and mascara. He wanted to present her as the princess she was. He managed to smile at her through his fear. She softly squeezed his hand as she smiled back.

Yunho was more nervous now than he had been 6 years ago. The door opened as a woman with flaming red hair greeted them. Her eyes went from Yunho to JanDi...and her smile faltered as tears filled her eyes.

"Its been too long young mistress." she bowed.

"I missed you Chaeyeon." JanDi hugged her.

"Who is it?" a deep voice echoed as Yunho and JanDi stepped over the threshold and Chaeyeon closed the door behind them. A figure descended the white marble steps, a hand in one pocket, the other placed firmly on the oak handrail. Mr. JunHo Kim's eyes narrowed as they studied the two people standing in the entrance hall. His eyes dismissed Yunho and fell on JanDi.

"You come alone I see...did you not have the child?" His hair was grey and ruffled. He was wearing a wrinkled grey dress shirt and black pants. But his eyes were what captivated Yunho. Brown and burning fiercely with ambition and pride. JanDi had the same eyes, though they had dimmed in their magnificence over the pain time had brought.

"I did. He turned six a few months ago. Youre a grandfather whether you like it or not." JanDi didnt break eye contact.

"Am I not too young to be a grandfather? Especially to the child of some dancer." Junho Kim now stood infront of them. Still not acknowledging Yunho.

"He is my child too daddy..." JanDi said softly. Her hurt evident on her face.

"He is illegitimate" Junho said angrily.

"No he isnt. Im marrying JanDi.."Yunho began earnestly but was silenced by a single look on the aristocrat's face.

"First the child followed by six years away from home and now this? Do you wish to kill me child?" Junho took JanDi's hand and led her into the lounge. Yunho simply did not exist for him. But Yunho was stubborn as he followed them.

"I thought six years would be enough time for you to come out of your narrow mind daddy." JanDi said disapprovingly as her father sat in his armchair, lighting a cigar.

"Yes...six years is a very long time..." he blew smoke into the air.

"Where's Chloe?" JanDi looked around. Indeed, her stepmother was nowhere to be seen.

"Probably in Hawaii with her young boyfriend.."Junho shrugged as he gestured for her to sit.

"She left huh? Didnt I tell you she would? I warned you daddy!" JanDi said, exasperated.

"Ofcourse she left. No woman could tolerate me after your mother. Only she could keep me interested. Chloe was just a fling."

"So...after mother youve never found love huh?" JanDi asked coolly.

"After your mother...I knew I'd never find love." Junho said bitterly.

"Yet...you disapprove of my love...do you think mother would have as well? She would have embraced Yunho with open arms..."JanDi said. Finally. Junho looked at Yunho. He meticulously studied him. His posture, his face, his body.
