Rue waved his hand in front of my face and I blinked turning to face him, “See something you're surprised by?" He asked me. Nodding I stared back down at it. "Most of the body has already been cleaned up, that is just one of the Shadows kills." My throat became dry and I wondered if it had really been wise to not ask questions about where we were going before rushing to follow. Probably I decided and began straight ahead figuring anything was better than just standing around. Rue had to ran to catch up with me and shot me a small glare, "Don't run off on your own."

"Sorry but I didn't exactly run Rue. I walked." Glaring at me once more he began to search the alley way with his eyes as I looked straight ahead. I don't know how long I was walking but soon we began to hear noises in the night that played with my mind. I heard a light sound of something dropping and turned around. Rue had been walking a bit behind me had stopped. Squinting in the darkness I could make out the gleam of a dagger across his throat before he dropped to the ground. A man dressed in all back about three inches taller than me looked at me with shinning silver eyes hungrily. My mind froze and the thought that had dominated my mind for so long returned ten times stronger than before. Run. Turning I sprinted as fast as I could down the alley way and turned into another. I could hear the man's almost nonexistent footsteps behind me catching up. My own footsteps were just as silent something I had grown used to while running throw the woods of Silverton.

I knew the man was right behind me now. I could feel his breath on my neck. Yanking my sword from its hilt I moved it to intersect his knife which seemed to catch him off guard. A smile crept across his face as he saw my blade and he pulled out his own, one that looked strangely familiar in the dim light of the moon.  Desperately I fought glad for all of the training I had recieved until he disarmed me and throwing my blade across the alley way and pushing me up against the crumbling wall. His silver eyes were now less than an inch away from me as he covered my mouth to keep me from screaming. I watched thinking for sure he was going to kill me like he had killed Rue but was surprised when he grabbed a cloth from his cloak with one hand and put it in his mouth while grabbing out a small vile of see throw liquid that he poured on the cloth letting go of my mouth temporarily giving me enough time to catch a breath and begin to scream before the cloth found it's way over my mouth. "Breath Krystal" his ruff voice whispered in my ear as my eyes widened. One thought ran through my mind before everything turned black. How did he know my name?
