Staring into the clear lake in her back yard, Katrina's straight long light brown hair, parted to the right, flowed in the wind. She was sitting down in the moist grass, her legs bent in front of her, knees pointing at the sky, and arms laying across it, pulling her body closer together. The bright, eye blinding sun, had brought out her smooth, pale skin. Despite the fact that heat was extensive, she wore a real black leather jacket, opened with a white tank top underneath. While looking outwards, she sees a smooth stone skid across the water, hitting it five times. Curious as to who threw that stone, she turns her head to the right, making contact with Axel's deep blue eyes, as he was standing up, looking at her. His tan skin definitely compliments his silky black hair that one would describe as an emo haircut, but his isn't as long, and doesn't cover his eyes that much. He's wearing a loose, gray t-shirt and white jeans, ripped at the knees. Katrina usually has male friends. She is more of the chilled, laid back type. She doesn't get along with girls at her school often. Either they are too preppy for her, too nerdy, or an athlete that believes they are all that. Katrina is athletic, but isn't on a sports team, nor is the best at a certain sport. She's just generally a little good at everything. Her few guy friends have specific sports they are the best at and is their favorite, but are experience in all. This is why she gets along with them so well, she'll join whenever they play. "I love how you just bike to my house whenever you feel like it," she says with sarcasm, and a smirk
Standing up from her spot, by placing her hand on the ground and rising up, she begins looking for her own rock to slide. She pulls her hair behind her left ear. Axel follows her asking, "can I push you in?"
She laughs at his question thinking there is no way he would do that, so she continues to search near the water, since that is where the most rocks would be located. Axel runs up behind her, as she is facing it, pushing her in. "You asshole, this leather jacket is new!"
"Why are you wearing a jacket in this baking heat anyways?" he asks while holding his hand out to help her up.
"Because it's stylish and I look hot in it. Beauty is pain." She grabs the hand, but pulls him in with her.
"Well played, Kat. Well played." He tries to jump on top of her, but she gets out of the way and onto the warm grass, proceeding the rocky shore.
"You can have fun in there while I hang my jacket on the tree." She starts pulling it off and makes her way to the tall, leafy tree, around thirty feet away, and isn't even a quarter way there, before Axel's ear piercing screech stops her. She turns around and shouts frantically, "what happened!"
He sprints out of the water, almost tripping several times, and falls down near her feet, breathing heavily. In between those breaths he says, "a fish...touched...my arm!"
Kat bursts out in laughter and falls to the ground as well, not being able to stand. "You've been swimming in this lake how many times and you are still afraid of those tiny things?"
Axel stands up, dusts himself off, and flips his hair. "Don't question me. But answer this question, are we going to go back?" She first walks to the tree and hangs her jacket, then to answer, she runs in, creating an enormous splash.
Walking towards the warm lake slowly, Axel states, "Kat, we are going camping on Friday through Sunday."
"And who said that," she asks while floating peacefully on her back.
He places his hands on his hips and replies sassily, with, "I did." He jogs to the old wooden dock, which is to the right of him. As he's on it, he notices the creaking, with each step he takes. Once he reaches the end, he dives into the eight foot deep water, just missing the floor with his head. Coming up to the surface, he notices his friend is still floating on her back. Being the mischievous teenager he is, he decides to swim under her.
