The hood of Jaxon's car pulls down. He turns the radio on and starts flipping through the stations quickly. Hunter, who is sitting right behind Jaxon, pushes Jaxon's hand out of the way and plugs his broken Samsung into the aux cord. His phone's screen got cracked while at the shooting range. He didn't realized that the shotgun had such a strong kick, so he fell backwards and onto his phone with no case.
Probably knowing what song he was going to play, he zooms through the others. Then, it plays.
"Seven a.m., waking in the morning. Gotta be fresh, gotta go down stairs. Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal," sings the radio. Well, to be more exact, Rebecca Black.
That is all the singer sings alone. All of a sudden, everyone in the car starts singing it together, except for Kat. "Seeing everything, the time is going. Ticking on and on, everybody's rushing
Gotta get down to the bus stop, gotta catch my bus, I see my friends."It continues. "Kicking in the front seat, siting in the back seat. Gotta make my mind up. Which seat can I take?"
That was the last line they sang before they went bonkers. Screaming and singing obnoxiously, " It's Friday, Friday. Gotta get down on Friday. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend, weekend. Friday, Friday. Getting down on Friday. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend."
Jaxon is jamming out, hitting the steering wheel to the beat. Hunter is just expressing his singing voice, crunching his fists together near is chest to get into it. Aaron is playing air drums, and he is quite well at it. It makes sense, because he actually wants to start a band one day.
I'm going to be stuck in a car with these geeks for two hours, Kat thinks. She shouts as loud as she can over them and the music, "hey guys, we aren't even out of neighborhood!"
Hunter unplugs his phone and falls back into his seat. "Yeah people. So disrespectful."
As soon as they arrive on the busy highway, music starts again.

It was near dusk, with the sky growing dark in the distance. Kat is staring up at the clouds, examining their individuality. Each one is different, not even two alike, just like snowflakes. The car ride is silent. Hunter and Aaron fell asleep from rocking out to hard. Jaxon however, is still driving, now on small two lane road. There are tall, thick trees, about eighty feet in length, on both sides of them.
Kat breaks the quietness and states, "once it reaches midnight, this place is going to be creepy."
She doesn't face Jaxon, but she can hear him chuckle. They have been on the road for a while, so they must be there soon. A soft gust of wind blew across their faces and made a chill roll down Kat's spine. "I should've brought a jacket," she says shivering.
Jaxon doesn't say anything. He just holds onto the wheel with his left hand, and slides his right arm out his soft suede jacket. Then vaisa versa. He keeps his head straight and hands it over to Kat.
She grabs it and throws it into herself. It's oversized. Not because Jaxon is overweight, he is very well in shape. Just that his muscles fill out the arms more. Kat has some strength as well, but not the size of his. She finds herself thinking about them. They are nicely cut and defined. The way he flexes when he does push ups and arm wrestles are just breath taking. These thoughts flow through her mind.
She almost forgets that she is in the car, until Jaxon says something. "What are think about?"
She wraps her arms around herself and shivers once more. "Nothing really, I'm just still cold."
"How about when we get there and unpack, you and I cuddle by the warm fire," he asks in a sweet low voice.
Kat hears shifting behind her, then Aaron's voice says, "Ooo, Jaxon is flirting with Kat!" She looks over her right shoulder and sure enough, Aaron has his head sticking between the two.
Kiddingly Jaxon laughs, "thanks dude. Way to ruin the mood."
"I know right. Things were starting to get intense," Kat whisper yells the second sentence.
Kat was waiting for another smart remark, but, nothing. She looks over the seat to see Aaron asleep again. He is sleeping on Hunter's hip. Hunter's head is on the seat near the door, with his legs bent. This was an opportunity that can not be missed. Kat yanks out her phone and snaps a picture. "Instagram and Facebook."
They drive the rest of the way in silence one again, until they finally arrived.
Jaxon turns down on a dark dirt path, hoping to find a small empty area where he can pack.
That is exactly what happens. A twenty-five by eighteen foot area, more than enough room. The sun has already fallen all the way down, making it twilight. He closes the roof back up and rolls up the windows.
Kat walks out slowly and looks around from one spot. "This place is way spookier than I remembered." She feels this emptiness inside of her, and gets a strong foreboding feeling.
"Or you just got lamer and more of a chicken and baby."
"Funny."
Jaxon opens the trunk and searches for something. Kat sees him pull something out, but doesn't know what. He opens the door to the backseat, just low enough to not wake up the two.
All of a sudden, a loud blast comes from the car and shoots throughout the forest. The noise must have come from Jaxon, and he is probably holding an air horn.
Birds flutter out from the trees, rats scatter all around the ground, elks dash out of there, monkeys swing to other trees, Aaron screams, and Hunter pushes Jaxon to get out of the car only to fall on the ground.
Hunter yells, "What the hell was that for!"
"Exactly, gave us a heart attack," Aaron agrees.
Jaxon leans on tree with a bunch of green vines and lies with, "I tried to wake you up nicely, but you were passed out. Ask Kat, even she knows."
The two turn there heads and stare at Kat just standing there awkwardly. "To the camping site." She grabs her bag and runs off. Her friends grab the tent items and follow after her.
They walk for a little ways, but not too far from the car. They even had to climb up some rocks. A nice little camp ground is what they stumbled upon.
Kat drops her bag and lays down on a soft short grass. "How about you guys build the tent while I get all your bags."
Aaron stares at all the equipment needed that is spread out on the floor and sighs. "Alright, but this tent may not be the best. I don't want you to go alone, nor do I want to get attack by something. So Jaxon, you go."
"Thanks dude, I appreciate you throwing me out there."

Everything has been brought up. The tunnel tent has been nicely built, after trying to be assemble it three times. All the bags filled with clothing are placed inside there. The water cooler with some food and drinks is placed to left and items needed to hunt is placed to the right, both in front of their sleeping area.
Everyone lays inside and wraps up in a blanket of their own. They all fall asleep to the sounds of the wilderness. Crickets chirping, owls hooting, Bobcats sprinting, and an unknown creature eating.
