The area is bright green . Moss is all everywhere, climbing up the trees and surrounding the giant boulders. The four are walking down a thin dirt path with Jaxon in the front, Katriana behind him, Aaron next, and Hunter in the back.
"Hey guys... where are we even heading," Hunter asks curiously, while struggling to pass rocks and branches.
"Eh, anywhere. Just heading out," Jaxon replies.
They continue to hike in silence as the wind blows. Not enough though. Sweat runs down each of their faces.
Aaron says winded while dragging his body, "I don't think I'll last much longer. I'm gonna faint."
"Very funny," Kat says sarcastically, with full energy.
"No, you don't understand." He then takes a deep breath. "My feet are about to give out."
Jaxon, the leader of the pack suddenly stops and turns around. "Alright, let's go." He then lifts his arms straight out in front of him. Which Kat once again, found herself staring at them. She obviously doesn't like him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have good muscles.
Aaron then raises his eyebrow.
"I'm gonna carry you."
He starts laughing at Jaxon's idiotic ways, but then stops, realizing he was serious. "You've got to be kidding me."
With Jaxon's arms still out, "does it look like I'm joking. Hurry, my arms are getting tired."
Without hesitation, he picks up Aaron, bridal style, and continues to walk. Kat and Hunter exchange glances with a smirk, trying to laugh. "Hunter, why don't you carry me like that?"
"Pffft. I have the strength of a tuxedo," he exclaims.
"Wait, what?"
"Exactly..." he whispers
"OWWW!"
Kat and Hunter's head shoot forward due to the voice, to see Aaron laying in the ground.
Jaxon turns around with an innocent face. "What? He was heavy. I may be strong..." He pauses and flexes, to back up his statement, "... but I'm not that strong."
"Thanks for calling me fat, you little shit."
* * *
The sun starts to head down. Jaxon spots a really big tree. It was branches going thought the whole top of it. He walks over, and notices that the vines are very thick and durable. "Come on, join me."
I wonder how many brain cells this dude has left, Kat questions.
They all, one by one, climb the tree. First Jaxon, next Kat, then Aaron, lastly Hunter. Kat looks over and sees that Hunter is hanging like a monkey. "If you fall, I'll laugh." She jinxed it. Hunter looses grip and falls, dropping twenty feet.
It seems as if it happened in slow motion. His whole body falls onto his right leg, smashing into the ground
"Fuck! Ugh!"
As promised, Kat laughs.
"Guys! I'm in serious pain! I think I bruised my muscle!"
"Shit, sorry for laughing... Are you okay?"
Everyone makes there way down the tree. "Move over." Jaxon pushes them out of the way. Aaron looks over at Kat concerned. Hunter is sitting while holding onto his thigh. Jaxon exams it. He has a medical class in school, since he wants to be a doctor. "He has a quadriceps contusion. We need to apply pressure and tie something around it."
Kat takes her tank top off, revealing a soft gray sports bra under it, and hands it to Jaxon.
He quickly ties it around and elevates his leg. "We need to start heading back to the camp site, there is ice in the cooler."
Kat and Aaron agree. "But..." he continues, "...I think Aaron should go look for some firewood"
"Yeah..." Kat adds, "...We need to make sure he isn't cold. Also, I'm sure we are all working up an appetite, so we should also cook someone of the raw steak over the fire."
Jaxon lifts Hunter up and put his arm around him. So Hunter is leaning onto Jaxon so he can help him walk. They start making their way back to the camp site, with Hunter limping. Kat is following right behind.
Aaron was definitely not thrilled about going out on his own. However, he didn't wanna be a wussy, and his best friend was hurt. Despite his fear, he just decided to go to help. How bad could it be...?
