"Lynch. Your free to go." The judge dismissed the case. He smiled being able to finally get the hell out of this place. He was uncuffed and taken to the holding area to be processed for release. He smirked at the prosecutor as he continued to walk. She approached. "See you soon. Just hope you don't get yourself into more bull shit." She said. He chuckled. "Nah. I have some unfinished business to attend to. Gonna keep me busy for a long time." He said. "Don't count on it." She said walking away. He shrugged and continued out with his lawyer.
He smiled finally stepping out of the hell hole they called prison. He couldn't wait to get back to his old life. A life he was going to soon find out he may never get back ever again. He didn't care at the moment. He just wanted to be able to explain himself. But little did he know about the life that he once left behind. Getting it back wasn't going to be easy that's for sure. Maybe just maybe it might be. But then this is a way he longed for, for as long as he could remember.
"I am going to stay with you today." She smiled at Jason. He looked up giving her a toothly smile. "Really?" He asked. She nodded. "Yes. As long as you teach me how to you know....build with these pegs?" She questioned. He chuckled. "Mama their legos. And you just fit the pieces together to make something." He said. "You wanna show me?" She asked. He gladly accepted and started to build a house. He started out with a base and then took on from there. She smiled watching him work. It looked so easy to do. But adult minds don't work like children's mind do.
"Wow!" She called as she looked at the structure before her. He smiled. "Do you like it?" He asked. "Like it? No." She said. He frowned. "Oh." He said. She picked him up and smiled. "I love it! Look! It has all my favorite colors. Blue, yellow, red." She said pointing to them. He smiled. "You like red?" He asked. "Yes. Mama likes red." She chuckled. "A red box in the mail for you." He said. She looked at him. "What? How do you know that?" She asked. "Mailman." He said pointing to the window.
She chuckled. "Alright. Stay here. I'll go get it." She said kissing his cheek. He smiled and looked back over to his toys. Just then the mailman knocked on the door for her to come claim her package. She opened the door and smiled. "Marano?" He asked looking at the name on the shipping address. She nodded. "That's me." She said. "Oh. Just sign here." He said handing her a clip board. She took hold of it and signed it. He smiled amd handed her the package. "Have a nice day." He said. "You too. Thank you." She said closing the door.
"What is it mama?" He asked. "I'm opening it buddy." She laughed. He chuckled. "Okay. Do you need help?" He asked. She shook her head. "No but thanks sweetie." She said. She looked inside the box confused. She pulled it out and looked for a little note or something. But nothing was in it but a ring. "What is it?" He asked. "It's a ring." She said. "A ring?" He asked. "Yes. Something you give to someone special. Or something that means something to you. True value." She said. "Can I get a ring?" He asked. "You have one." She smiled.
