She cried quietly as he rolled next to her. She looked at Jason who was asleep peacefully. "No. Not here. Not in front of him." She said weakly. "He's asleep." He whispered running his hands up her side. She flinched. "He can wake up at any second. Please. Don't do this. You've already put me through enough. Aren't you happy with yourself already?" She asked. "No. I want you. I want everything back to the way it was." He said frustratedly. "So you want me back under your control? In order to gain that you'll even violate me?" She hiccupped.
"No. I want you to give yourself up to me. You've done it before. Why is it so hard now?" He asked. "Because I was naive back then. I was innocent. I was blind. And you took advantage of that. You never revealed yourself to me. And now that I know exactly what you are, I can't allow you. Not even if your his father." She said looking away. He made her look at him. "Come on Laura. Be honest. There is still a part of you that loves me. I can see it in your eyes. I know you do." He whispered wiping off the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Get off me." She cried. "I love you. You need to know that. I never took advantage of you. It was always about you. I never wanted to hurt you. Ever. It's just I turned into someone I didn't know I'd become. I did and I'm sorry." He wrapped her in his arms. "Why'd you do it? I wanted to tell you and suddenly you disappeared when I needed you. I was nearly cut open giving birth to him. The child we created. And you didn't even want him." She croaked.
He hugged her. "I was drunk. I didn't mean anything I said." He said kissing the top of her head and staying like that. She bit her lip. "You promised... And you didn't even call. Not even once...." She said fading slowly in his arms. "I promise to do it right this time. I'll do everything I can." He tells her kissing her cheek then down her jaw. She sighed allowing fresh air to fill her lungs as she allowed him to do as he pleased as she ran her fingers through his hair. He fell asleep on her chest and she soon did also.
"Mommy....Mommy...pssst....Mom." He shook her softly. She groaned. "Yes?" She asked groggily. "I'm hungry." He whined. "Okay. I'll be up in a sec. Hold on." She said trying to move. He stifled a laugh. She noticed Ross was still laying on her but not enough to crush her. She blushed as her son looked at his parents confused. "Mommy? Why is Ross on you?" He asked raising his eyebrow at her red face. "It's Wednesday so you know. I put him to nap just like I do to you." She lied.
"You even give him kisses too?" He asked. She bit her lip. "No. I promise." She said. "Why lie to him? Tell him the truth." Ross groaned rolling on his side. Jacob jumped on him. "Wake up. Wake up Ross." He smiled. He groaned as if a pile of bricks were released on his head. "Mommy....Ross is being a baby." He pouted. She smiled and chuckled little looking at his childlike behavior. "Look whose talking. You are a baby." He said sitting up clutching his head. "No. I'm grown. Right mommy?" He asked looking at her with his vicious eyes.
Ross had the same look as he fixed his bed head. She looked away. "I'm starving. Are you?" She asked avoiding the stares. "Yes." He smiled. "Great. I'll get us some food. Stay with mommy." He said to his son. "How long?" He whined. "7 minutes." He said getting up and getting dressed. "Can I come?" He asked. "What for J?" He asked ruffling his hair. Laura held in her laughter and he held his big hand in his small one. He measured a little bit then looked at his father. "We need to talk." He said holding their gazes.
She practically fell back in bed laughing her ass off as he glared sharply at her. She cleared her throat and looked away. "What... what do we need to talk about?" He asked nervously. He looked his mom then back him. "You know. We can't talk in front of someone. Let's go get that food? Huh?" He asked. He sighed. "Fine." He held out his hand for him to take. She smiled slightly but soon her eyes clouded over. She knew. That moment. She knew it would happen sooner or later. It was bound to happen and it was going to happen.
"What about apple sauce?" He asked. He laughed pushing it away. "I'm 4 years not months." He told him. Ross shrugged and chuckled lightly. Looking at the child he failed to raise made him angry somehow. She raised him all on her own. She didn't tell him about him and that's where the anger began. She didn't feel like she needed him. Why did it matter anyway? He didn't want a child. He didn't want him. The only child granted. Little did he know the truth about this child. It is his 100% but if he found out the truth, he'd kill her.
"I know about you and mommy." He said stopping him midway of his arguing within. "What do you mean?" He asked him setting food in front of him. "Ooh.Tacos." He smiled taking a bite. He smiled at him and joined him. "I found this." He said taking a picture out of his pocket. He stared at the photo. She looked so happy. All you could see was just how much they loved each other and how they made each other look vibrant. They complimented one another. "Mommy looks so happy." He smiled staring at the picture.
He looked at it then cleared his throat. He didn't want to admit it, but he regretted most days. There was only one day he regretted the most. "Ooh tacos." She joined the two. "I know. Ross made them." He smiled at her. She looked over at him then down at their son. "Try some. Its really good." He said offering his taco to her. She chuckled and refused. Ross set one in front of her along with the photo. He nudged his head towards Jason who was happily chewing away. "Ross juice." He said. He handed him one as he drowned a beer and gave Laura some water. She bit her lip.
