"Wow. Things never change around here huh? Same old food and same old people." He said eyeing the employees. "I guess you could say that. What can I get for you?" She asked looking at her notepad for taking orders. He shrugged. "Anything will be fine." He said looking out the window. "No. Pick something." She urged him. "Fine. A stack of pancakes, not too much syrup and a nice glass of orange juice." He said. She scribbled it down and made her way towards the kitchen. His started to vibrate. He pulled it out and looked at it narrowing his eyes.
"Here's your juice. Your pancakes will be done in a few minutes." She said walking off. He nodded and sat there waiting patiently. 'LC wants to meet today. Do you have the cash?' He shrugged and put his phone back in his pocket. Just then Laura walked in. She greeted everyone without noticing him and made her way out towards the back to go get changed into her uniform. He smiled and took a sip of his juice. "Here is your pancakes. Will there be anything else?" She asked sweetly. He shook his head. "No. Thank you." He smiled back at the girl. She smiled and walked away.
"What do you want?" She asked angrily. "Awe. Come on Laura. Don't be like that." He said. "Luis. Just leave. I have work to do." She said. "Awe. Come on why? We should get together tonight." He said holding her hand. She took it back. "Thank you but I have plans." She said. "With who?" He asked. "None of your business." She said. He stared at her for a moment. "You already got someone don't you?" He asked. She shook her head. "What? No. I like your kindness but right now, I'm not looking for a relationship." She said.
