"Mommy?" He called. Ross smirked turning towards the little boy. He kept her still under his grip but all his attention was focused on his son. He observed him carefully and just could tell that he was in deed his. "That's not?" He asked looking back at her. She couldn't move and she didn't want to alarm him either. "Mom? Are you okay?" He asked. She nodded and nudged her head telling him to leave. He didn't want to leave her so he stayed put. Ross looked at her for a moment and then pulled away from her slowly going towards Jason.
"Ross don't." She said. He laughed and got to his level. "What's your name?" He asked. He looked at his mother then back at his father. "Jason. Yours?" He asked. "Ross." He said holding out his hand to shake it. His small hand reached out and shook it. "Nice to meet you." He said. "You too." He said. "Good kid you have here." He said looking back at her. She forced a smile and nodded. "I know." She said. "You don't want to hurt mama right?" He asked. Ross chuckled. "I'd never hurt her. Not intentionally anyway." He said looking to her once again.
"How do you know mama?" He asked. "We were great friends since forever." He smiled. "Really? How come you never come around?" He asked. "Because I just got back. I was out of town." He lied. "Out of town? You don't live here?" He asked. "Of course I do. I just came back home. Where I belong." He said. She looked down. "Has mama ever made you do things you don't want to do but you do it because you love her?" He asked him. He raised an eyebrow at her. "Makes you clean the toys?" He asked. He nodded.
