Chapter 2

MELODY'S POV

So Albus, Rose and I all got put in Gryffindor. Once we were all placed into our houses we went and sat with James and Fred. The food was amazing. Albus and I were in a deep discussion about Quidditch when I heard.

"HEY MELODY" Shouted Danny and Jacob from the Slytherin table.

"Oh no" I said "Why can't they pick a better time to embarrass me?"

"Just ignore them that's what I do with James" Albus said. I chuckled and looked at him he was smiling me.

"You know I think we are going to become great friends" I said

"Yeah I think we are" Albus said smiling at me.

After dinner we went to the common room. This place is so cool.

"Ok girls dorms upstairs to your right and boys the same on your left" a prefect said "you'll find that all your belongings have already been brought up"

"See you later Albus" I said. Rose and I went upstairs to our dorm room. When we got there we found three more girls in there.

"Hi I'm Abby" a girl with straight brown hair said

"Hi I'm Zoe and this is my cousin Lucy" A girl said with curly blond hair pointing to a girl with curly brown hair.

"Hi I'm Melody and this is Rose" I said.

"Well we will see you guys later" Lucy said. They then went out the door and down the stairs.

"I call dibs on the bed by the window." I said

"Yeah whatever" Rose said.

After we had unpacked we went downstairs and sat on the couch.

"HELLO" Fred yelled as he, James and Albus jumped on the couch.

"Why are you so loud?" I asked

"I just am" Fred said

"You get used to it" Albus whispered in my ear. I giggled and blushed

"What was that Albus?" Fred asked

"Oh nothing" Albus said. He is so freaking cute. Wait what? I can't like him after one day can I? I mean he's really sweet and nice but I've only known him one day.

"Mels? Melly? Melody?" Rose said snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Huh?"

"You kinda zoned out" James said

"Yeah that happens a lot" I said

"Wait your nicknames are Mels and Melly? Fred asked

"Yeah my brothers gave them to me and I kinda got stuck with it but I don't mind" I said

"Aww cute" Fred said pinching my cheek.

"Get off" I said slapping his hand away.

"I'm so gonna call you Melly from now on" Albus said

"I'm cool wit that" I said

"Cool" Albus said

"Okay everyone here are your timetables" Professor Longbottem said handing out timetables.

"Let's see you timetable" Albus said. I gave it to him and Rose gave him hers.

"We have all the same classes" Albus said

"That's good" I said

"Yeah it is" Albus said.

I looked at the time and saw it was getting late.

"I'm gonna go to bed" I said "You coming Rose?"

"Yeah night boys" Rose said getting up

"Night girls" James said

Rose and I walked upstairs and got ready for bed.

"Night Girls" I said as I got into bed

"Night" the four girls said. Today was a good day. I hope the rest of my days are like this.
